  1. I purchased a Lew's Gold and an All Star TSR for the Wife begining of last Spring. I was afraid of her messing up my own rods/ reels. Now I find myself grabbing it everytime I go bank fishing. It's a really nice reel. Brian.
  2. Are you in Maine or Florida? Brian.
  3. Yo-Zuri Hybrid, cheap price, great line. Brian.
  4. Shimano Complex CI4 2500HGS F6. Brian.
  5. Try G Loomis or St. Croix, that should drum up sales. Brian.
  6. I really like my Scorpions. I like them just as much as my Aldebarans and Metaniums, if not more. The Scorpion gives little ground to either reel for $100 beens off. Brian.
  7. Headed up to Kinzua/Allegheny next week, Tianesta/Franklin area. Can anyone give me a report on how things are. Thanks all, Brian.

Got a new 2 7/8" Craw Mold recently, being windy as all get out today, I got it out and started to play. I wanted an Orange Clawed Craw to match a color in a lake here in the fall. I think I nailed the colors, I'll let ya all know this fall. Brian
  9. Yes, the knot is either slipping or breaking. It will last a few hours then let loose on a cast, I am casting really hard with 1/2oz. baits. I retied another leader following Alberto's video and will try again this week. My knot looks perfect and I can't break it with my hands before I would risk some serious cuts. I can't feel the knot pass through the guides, I'm useing K-Concept Micros. Brian.
  10. I feel, along with others, that it helps more with spool control(over runs) while skipping baits. Brian.
  11. I love my Aldebarans and Metaniums. Don't overlook the Scorpion 1000XT, I have 2 in my lineup and they don't give much ground to the others, they even outdistance them. If some skipping is in your future, you might want to lean towards magnets. Brian.
  12. Followed Alberto's instuctions to the T. I'll go chuck some baits tomorrow and see how it lasts. Thanks Guys, Brian.
  13. I've never fished Braid to a leader before, but a lot of the bank fishing lakes I have are gin clear, so I decided to try a leader. I'm running 14lb. Braid(Stren Sonic) to 10lb. McCoy Copoly. I'm using a Mod. Albright, 7 up-7 down. The knot looks fantastic, is small, and I can't pull it hard enough with my hands to break it. It passes through the guides and I can't feel any hangups or resistance from the knot. How long should this knot last while fishing? I have the leader long enough that it comes through the rod to the first guide and I'm bombing 1/2oz. Spinnerbaits. My problem is, after a few hours I launch that Spinnerbait into the next County but it's no longer atached to my Braid. Any help is appreciated. Thanks all, Brian.
  14. I have dual Power Pole Micro's on my Pro 170 Tracker and really like them. If you only need one and it's on a 16' boat, 1 Micro will save you $500, 2 will save you a grand. I have one on the front and the other opposed on the back. Brian.
  15. 2" tube and a slip bobber. Brian.
  16. Spinning reel? Trigger Happy Comfort Grips, I won't use a spinning reel without them. Brian.
  17. It's a fishing pole not a port hole T-Bird. Brian.
  18. Look at the post above yours, DVT. Brian.
  19. 2015 Aldebarans reel foot is exactly 2.44" tip to tip. Brian.
  20. You must know the PA F&G. Brian.
  21. Atta Boy Wayne. Text on the way. Brian.
  22. They'll remove a bunch from the wallet too. Brian.
  23. We've been catching Smallies and Walleye for some time now with growth's and sores all over them on the Juniata and Susquahanna. We've been forwarding pictures to the PA F&G for some time now. I pray it is not a killer and something can be done. It is a fantastic fishery. Brian.
  24. Big Bear 6'3" M/F, with a Ian Shields tuned Lew's Team Gold sitting on it spooled with 12lb. McCoy Extra Clear Copoly. I love fishing this setup, accurate, light, completely trouble free, a pure joy. Brian.
