  1. I'm a die hard Power Fisherman. The first thing I reach for is a bait I can cover water with and quickly. My partner is the complete opposite, his first pick is always a Jig or Worm, slow and methodical. Fishing with him has really helped my overall sucess by forcing me to go slow when needed. Brian.
  2. What's wrong with Daiwa factory service? Brian.
  3. Thanks Lee, it was 1 degree here this morning w/35-40mph winds. See ya in 2 weeks though. Brian.

Ya beat me to it. Brian.

    Thanks, on order. Brian.
  6. Turn your cast controls up. It doesn't make someone more manly to cast with the min. of controls, just better at picking out backlash's. Seems people look at it as a badge of honor to cast with minimal breaking. I don't care if I use 6 brakes, have the Mags on 10, or the spool tension tight if that's what you need to throw it. Brian.

How does the size compare to a Mini-Slammer? Brian.
  8. Only takes wire transfer, run, run really fast. That is always a recipe for disaster. Brian.
  9. So purchase 3 of them......you know you want to and you will use them. Brian.
  10. Hard to find someone in my area to fish with. When I say we're going out for the day, I meen from sunup to sundown. What they expect is a few hours in the morn., then they're ready to go. I'm lucky enough to have a true diehard I can fish with and I truely enjoy days we get to go out together, but I still love my alone time. Brian.
  11. 1; Finesse Spinnerbait 2; Texas Rigged Big Worm Brian.
  12. That sounds awesome Lee. Will there be a way to bid by proxy? Brian.

Ya, but I usually let the fish dictate what they want. Sometimes fronts will make me go small, the water I'm on will make me switch size and sometimes the depth/speed I want to fish will choose for me. But I agree with your method, the same goes for Crankbait size. Brian.
  14. Try a search in this forum. There was a bunch of threads when they were first released. Brian.
  15. It's hard to find reviews on a newly released product. I had a SI/DI/GPS put on the console and a DI/Sonar on the deck, waters solid so won't know for a while. Can't beat the price though. Brian.
  16. If ya get over to sc PA drop me a line and we'll go drop some line. Brian.
  17. Check with your local borough workers if they might have broken Culvert pipes, 1'-4'. If you can find some and the ice is thick enough, roll them where you want them and the thaw will take care of the rest. Brian.
  18. I like them and the Lucky E Strike. I really like the big Xcaliber Wake Squarebill, like it so much I had a rod built just to throw them. Brian.
  19. No trying to start an argument just a discussion. When I decide to add a new outfit to my kit, it takes me a good while to decide on all the attributes I need for that setup. Rod action, length, power, handle, guide train, which reel, IPT, line cap, type line, braid, braid+leader, floro, copoly, tons of decisions. I've seen tons of threads on here asking what to use something for after a purchase. How do you guys & girls go about the process of picking and choosing a new setup? I'm very interested in others thought process. Brian.
  20. Punch and Flip away. Just act like the bank is the worlds most stable boat. Better have a Broomstick Rod and Monster Braid, cuz in Fl, I wouldn't want to have to go in after them. Brian.
  21. I adore mine. I heard guys complain about it, but palming my reel, I only need enough for the edge of my palm pad to rest on. Also heard they're not as sensitive as the old IM10 model, but heard nothing but the greatest reviews on the Cumulus which the new Cumaras use that HM1 blank. The new Cumara is also $100 cheaper than the Cumulus was. Brian.
  22. Mine were the old Black models. I have no clue about the new White model, but I'd rate the Blacks as above average. Not NRX sensitive, but they don't cost $500 either. I actually purchased all my Blacks at one time for $75 each and you'd be hard pressed to find a rod as good for twice that. Brian.
