Shoulda used a trailer hook .

I found someone who had tips and he fixed it .

I tried gluing the insert back in and it didnt last . I want to remove it and replace it .

I bought that kit before and they were all to big . This is a Gander Mountain Guide Series rod , so that wont work .

I need to replace a rod tip { knocked out the insert } . How do I go about getting the correct size eye ? There is no place close to repair it or buy eyes and its not worth sending off .

A local river use to be full of big smalmouths until a three year flood destroyed the population . Buzzbaits were my preferred top water followed by poppers.

I took a cousins son fishing last night . We were easing along chucking buzzbaits when we heard an awful lot of splashing . I turned on the head lamp and saw a set of eyes behind the kids lure .A raccoon was swimming as fast as he could trying to catch it .A few minutes later it happened again . This time the boy said he actually felt the raccoon . That was new one .

I'm spending a week there myself in mid September . I've been twice before and caught fish but didnt tear them up . I caught them on Jigs , Texas rigged craws , Spooks , jigging spoons and poppers in the Aunts creek and cow creek area .

Having all these different lines is not feasible if one only takes a few rods . I generally take four to six and spool them all with mono .

One theory I heard is the bloody tail on large females is the result of it being so heavy with eggs that the bottom of the tail is constantly scraping bottom while just swimming . Makes sense to me .

I use to get out once a week on the boat then when I was in my 20's and had good balance I use to stop along culverts and irrigation ditches several times a week . I had a milk run and caught bunches of big bass . This year I fished twice in April , missed May and June completely then managed three time in July,two of those were at night . I plan on going more this fall and spend a week at Table Rock in September. When I do go its usually 8 to 10 hours . .

That would be something .

The initial reason I bought one is for unhooking fish . Its not really easier but a lot safer .

A plastic grocery bag would be prone to rip . I use the fish grip .

Lake Fork and somewhere north with fantastic smallmouth fishing . Maybe Lake Erie .

Who knows . Here it was July 31st , sunny skies , moderate north wind blowing ,mild temps after a heat wave , the water clearer than it has been for a long time, a twenty foot thermocline and I managed to catch one the best limits I have had for several years . The biggest bass , a 4.5 lb was caught with a Berkely Dredger 17.5 and the rest including three more four lbers came out of shallow water on a buzzbait . I was expecting a deep bite and the fish were found shallow at the mouths of cuts like it was April instead of July. Bass will keep one guessing thats for sure .Why there were a decent number of fish at the mouths of cuts ,? I do not know , just glad to have lucked into them . You just have to keep trying and sometimes one makes the right choices and sometimes one doesnt .

Dont know the year but had a Little Green Box, fished with Fliptail worms and still use Little Georges occasionally .Never heard of the Pedigo baits . Im guessing 1969 .

After fishing , metal detecting is my next favorite hobby . i also like to shoot 22's , hunt small game , search for mushrooms and Indian artifacts .

I rely on them even shallow . I patterned the bass today and had to keep the boat in three to five foot to keep a buzzbait over the grass .Not to shallow not to deep ..
