High water temps, bright sun, little wind, stained water.
Well the very first thing I would do is look at my depth finder for a thermocline and a depth that is holding lots of fish . Then if I can find a nice point or two , fish them at those depths . If that doesnt work , move shallow and fish cover .

Cleaning lead off hooks and wire frames
Thats what I was thinking . I''ll have to shorten the upper arm , as they are as far back in the groove as they will go . Being they come from Do-It I figured they would come at the correct length .

Here is one of my better results , but the wire form is still showing .

"Dog Days of Summer"
The problem with classic deep water structure [ honey holes] by now they have been hammered to death . At least on the waters I fish . I've been catching some suspended bass with crankbaits and sometimes they are a long cast from the point . The better fishing has been in shallow shoreline cover with buzzbaits and Texas rigs .

Cleaning lead off hooks and wire frames
I'm having a hard time getting a perfect pour on the buzzbaits. I have some useable baits but there is always a flaw somewhere . I might have to shorten the wire form ever so slightly .

Cleaning lead off hooks and wire frames
I have spinnerbaits and buzzbaits molds . When an in-complete pour happens , how do you salvage the hook and wire to reuse ?

Vegetation vs. Bite
It can be difficult . Sometimes I get the weeds half way to the boat before figuring out its not a bass .

It would help if you would describe the type of water ,, cover ,, structure that you plan on fishing and a description of your rod n reels .

Top water bite = ???
Buzzbaits are productive for quantity and quality , high hook up ratio compared to other top waters, incredibly snag resistant , cover water fast and just plain fun . I might throw them all day in cover and rarely hang them . I use them more than most but if they're not producing , they get put away fast. This has been a good year for buzzers . They have produced for me more than any other lure this year . I cant explain why but I'm happy .

Lake size/bass movement/odds of catching
The 200 acre lake I fish has only one major point and it gets hammered . Still I usually catch something there and sometimes catch them one after another . The channels are mostly silted in .Theres an amazing number of fish in the lake and can be spotted all over with a depth finder . Whenever I see some long spaghetti looking lines on the depth finder , those are probably moving/ feeding bass . I'll fire a few cast at them , usually a crankbait . I have gotten on some huge schools that way .

Conflicted between t-rig vs. jig
Sounds like you are doing pretty good to me . Keep weighing in those limits . How do I choose between a Texas rig and a jig? Easy , I just choose Texas rig . ?

Lake size/bass movement/odds of catching
175 acre lakes are a good size to fish . You could fish the entire shoreline in one day . I have fished one that size since the late 70's and have caught quite a few lunkers out of it . Six's and sevens , maybe even and eight lber or two . The bass do move but they are usually quicker to pattern . If it has some good structure such as humps and points then it can be fished deep real quickly and then hit the shallows . I also have an 18,000 acre reservoir to fish but the small lake is more consistent for me .

Any tips on fishing mucky weedy pond?
Thats normal . Fish over it with various baits or use weightless worms with the hook buried and fish in it .

Line spooling devices?
For baitcasting I put a pencil through the spool and hold it with my knees .

Tried a drop shot for the first time
Dont think I have the patience for a five minute presentation , let alone a twenty minute one .

Tried a drop shot for the first time
Theres about three foot of visibility . I also tried a Texas rigged worm and a small DOA swimbait ,so Dropshot wasnt the only thing they were not hitting . I salvaged the day by hitting shallow grass with a buzzbait . This has been the summer of the buzzbait .

Tried a drop shot for the first time
I was out fishing points and the bass were not cooperating . Caught four 14 inchers on crankbaits 10 to 20 foot deep , so decided to give a drop shot a go . I did not catch a fish on it but wanted to share how I rigged the weight . I had some dropshot hooks, the kind on a swivel but no weights . So I slid on a 1/4 ounce bullet weight then a bobber stop and tied a simple overhand knot on the end of the line . The little knot prevented the weight and stop from sliding off . Zero bites but I'll try again since I have a new drop shot rod . Oh, and I used a 6 inch jelly worm .

Going solo!
Yeah , me to . I'll try things that are outside the box and stay in a spot longer if I feel fish are there . Nice fat smallies .

Line spooling devices?
I do that too , in the grass .
