  1. I knew you was going to say that . You praised that lure so much that I found and bought one . Only used it one time and didnt catch any fish but thats OK. I'll try it again next year .
  2. One day , some lucky guy is going to get my tackle .
  3. I dont use them often and when I do its because they came with the lure . I dont use snaps to avoid tying knots . The line should be snipped and retied often anyways .
  4. I have 5 Lightning rod's . 2 original 5'6'' med hvy casting , 1 original 6'0'' med hevy . casting , 1 6'0'' light action spinning . Then i have a 6'6'' med hvy but its a later generation and I never shined up to it much . Its just not the same quality .
  5. I have one Scorpion or maybe its a Tarantula . I dont know because the skirt is missing . Tarantula had extremely wide strands .
  6. Me too . Another of my all time favorite is the Arbogast MudBug .
  7. We dont have those around here .
  8. I'm not going to stick with something thats not working . The move can be deep , shallow , or booking right on down the bank . Many days covering lots of water has been the best strategy .I might fish three or four large coves , the main lake and the dam in 8 hours .
  9. You could use it like a pair of brass knuckles , the next time someone cuts you off right before you reach that laydown .
  10. My home has a tremendous population of white bass . I catch them by the hundreds , decent sized ones . Does any one know how to remove the strong fishy taste without cutting out the red meat ?
  11. Now when you really have a story to tell he wont believe you.
  12. If I found this stash I'd easily spend fifty dollars .
  13. I Iike them Pigs too . I still have a couple . I have one in the old craw color and one in the newer lifelike craw color .
  14. Theres nothing you can do that cant be done .
  15. I use Roadrunners . I figure I'm going to lose a few and others are too expensive . If I need it to sink faster , or cast further its easily done .
  16. Whats the noisiest chugger you found ? I have a vintage black Pico Pop and an old large Rebel chugger about twice the size of a Pop R but same design . On windy days I make as much racket as I can around submerged timber .Jerk it hard and abrupt to get as much distance with the spray as possible and not move the lure much . Its a good technique for suffocating hot summer days , mid day , sun bearing down . I cant fish in those super high temps anymore but I sure miss this action .
  17. Repost link . I'm not getting it .
  18. ^^ Sort of looks like the Riverside Big Claw . I still have some Big Claws .
  19. No doubt. One lake in particular probably 90 percent of the bass I caught last year were between 12 and 15 inches . Then a decent population of big bass . Not many three lbers . Its a great numbers lake plus a good opportunity to catch a big fish or two . Hasnt everybody ran into a lot of small bass on major structure ? Its pretty common for me .
  20. Rogers Big Jim , Dalton Special , Rebel Deep Wee R , Strike King Spin Dance spinnerbait , Fliptail worm , Gator Tail worm , Pico Pop , Bomber Prop A .
  21. I located a school of bass late in the year close to a creek channel that I didnt know was there . 2017 I plan on dissecting that channel .
  22. I wouldnt think so .At least not as bad . Those should be elevated some .
  23. Good chance creek channels are silted in .
  24. If I'm pulling a lure off the bottom in twenty foot of water , hold it for a couple of seconds then lower it slowly back down on baitcasting gear , is tthat power fishing or finesse fishing ?
