  1. Why Does Kvd Horse Fish In? Because its more fun than horseing crappie in .
  2. I dont keep a log . Quite often fish are i biting like mad in one arm and not the others when there is no discernible difference. I think if I kept a log it would just as likely lead me in the wrong direction other than help me .
  3. The only white worm I ever tried was the old Norman Snatrix . I didnt have much luck with it but I didnt give it much playing time either
  4. I didnt see them this year , I was watching for it .
  5. I picked up a Bass Pro Shops Pro Qualifier combo for 99 dollars two years ago. I was skeptical of the rod but it has become my most used outfit .They havent offered it since .
  6. The wood one looks like a Lee Sisson .
  7. The discontinued Bomber Prop A . I'm guessing the average weight of bass I caught on it surpasses all the other lures that I have used .
  8. Thisnexplains it better .http://knotcyphers.pbworks.com/w/page/8216878/Knot%20Strength%20-%20or%20Weakness
  9. Mine says Rattlin right on the bill. Its thicker and heavier than the original Thin Fin .Like Rambler says . They float with the back barely out of the water .
  10. If thats not a Norman with a Sunshine Gel coat then its a darn good impostor .
  11. The Being square has nothing to do with iit .Think about it . You dont think a line can be bent to the point where it is weakened ? Obviously there comes a point where hook diameter is to small for a certain line diameter . We can agree on that . There is an article about this in one of my fishing magazines probably InFisherman . Makes sense .
  12. The jelly Worm is no better than any of them , I just know when I throw one I'm probably going to get bites . I like using my old lures, knowing I'm probably the only person on the lake throwing it . Fliptail worms are another . Id like to find a pack of lime green fliptails .
  13. Dont quit experimenting . Last year I took the blade off a spinnerbait and replaced it with a curl tail grub. I didnt catch a fish on it , only because I didnt try very long .
  14. LOL. The exact same thing happened to me . I could have wrote the same paragraph .
  15. Dont know why. A kink will be the weakest part of an otherwise undamaged line , so the smaller the hook diameter the more a line is kinked .
  16. six inch Jelly Worm .
  17. I'm going to remember that . They do sit low , wouldnt take much to get one to suspend .
  18. I dont know why they act like that but i have had them do that a lot when bouncing lipless cranks off the bottom .
  19. Favorite way to fish is buzzbaiting. Least is finesse fishing . I dont like to throw tiny baits .
  20. 7 foot MH rod . 12 or 15 lb mono main line and leader. 3/4 ounce egg sinker . I like a perfectly smooth Lizard so I can check for teeth marks. It is sometimes difficult to feel a bite . I use this set up to cover deep water quickly. When I get bit I toss a marker buoy and fish a Tex rig .
  21. Thats a steal. The local Wal Mart had them on clearance for 100 dollars. Someone bought them. I was waiting for them to get get down to fifty.
  22. The Rattlin ones are hard to find . They are fatter , heavier and cast well on baitcast gear .
  23. I picked up a well used shallow diving Storm Rattlin Thin Fin at a second hand shop this winter. I'm always looking for old gems like this and finding one is as exciting as catching a fish. I've been using it some , having some success in a reservoir that is in flood stage . Anyways with all the chatter about crankbaits that hunt I'm here to report that the this Rattlin Thin Fin cast well and hunts like mad . Dont know if they all do but I'll be keeping an eye out for more .
  24. I have several spools of monofilament that are ten to twenty years old. They look good and have been kept in a drawer. Most of it is Big Game . Does it deteriorate even if its in a cool , dark and dry environment ?
