Drop Shot Setup
Thanks! I plan on doing the same and using 6-8#. Also, I just started using KVD L&L the past couple of months and I'm wondering why I didn't use it earlier. Another plus on the stradic CI4 and Duckett micro was how they looked paired together. The spool and knob screw match the metal in front of the reel seat and rod grips almost perfect.

Signed Copy Of Big Bass Zone
Like I said, I didn't realize it was supposed to be a signed copy until after the fact. Either way I'm happy I purchased the book. Yall do have me thinking now and I might have to try and get ahold of Bill. Anyone have any leads on how to go about this?

Drop Shot Setup
Well, I went ahead and pulled the trigger on another CI4 2500 and duckett rod tonight. I really appreciate input from all of yall. I think I'll definitely have to get a m/ml setup with a 1000 in the near future. While in a spending mood, I happened to click on the Siebert Outdoors link and ordered 10 J Francho specials. I justified my jig purchases because the money goes to a good cause, or at least I keep telling myself that!

Drop Shot Setup
I currently have a CI4 2500 on a 7'm duckett that I use for an all around shakey, drop shot, etc. I'm going to get another setup that I can mainly dedicate to a drop shot. The question is, should I go with another 2500 or bump down to a 1000? Any input is greatly appreciated.

Signed Copy Of Big Bass Zone
I'm pretty sure the guy I bought the book from on Amazon signed it, haha. He wrote on the receipt and it was the same pen color and hand writing. I don't mind, I didn't realize until after the fact that is was supposed to be a signed copy anyway. Just cracks me up he didn't even spell his name right when it was on the next page. People these days...

Has Anyone Had Any Luck With Strike King's Wild Thing
Never used that brand but they seem just like any other craw/creature tube bait. I would use them on a pegged texas rig and flip and pitch them into any cover. Possibly use them on a carolina rig.

Anyone Have A Carrot Stick Last Past A Year?
I have an older 7' mh-f and same in a wild and have had zero problems with them. Had the classic for 4 years and the wild for 2. I recently just switched most of my rods to the micro guide series which I've only fished once. Like KYntucky said, people are going to bash them for breaking issues but I have yet to have one fail on me (knock on wood). You here a lot more negative stories about instances where products fail these days. Rarely do you see people post about how well their equipment performed for them.

Skunked Often.....please Help.
Two great pond search baits for me are white spinnerbaits and chrome or white traps. Most of my pond bites have come from casting down the shoreline rather than casting out to the middle.

What Do You Do?
X2 We've had such a mild winter in Texas (west and central) water temps never got below low 50's on the lakes I mainly fish. I've been catching a lot of fat bellied fish, the spawn is right around the corner for us.

"chatterbait" Type Baits
I usually fish them with a paddle tail trailer. Lately the LFT live magic shad has worked really well for me. If the fish are a little hesitant to bite, I'll pull the skirt off.

I use paycheck baits. I've heard of some people breaking the hubs but I've personally never had any problems.

Punch Rig
Paycheck Baits makes a lot of different skirts that are ready to go. They also carry hooks and bobber stops. I personally like the super heavy cover flippin' hooks by Gamakatsu, but have also had good luck with the Mustad grip pin max hooks. Not that it's a big deal but you don't have to mess with melting the heat shrink yourself on those hooks.
