  1. Snag Proof phat frog and poppin phattie frog. My favorite colors are da man and papa midnight.
  2. Sorry for the double post, I couldn't get the second pic to upload in my first post.
  3. I use the standard rod glove for all of my rods. Here are a few pics of similar length rods to help you get an idea. The e21 is a 7'6" and the duckett is a 7'.
  4. Big bite yodaddy,I also like the missile baits d bomb.
  5. The dobyns champion 766 might be a good choice. It's heavy with a fast action and rated for 1/4 up to 2oz.
  6. Watermelon red and Black Sapphire
  7. I like the Lake Fork Tackle flutter spoons, strike king makes some also in the $6-7 range.
  8. I just clip mine to the split ring and haven't noticed any changes in the action. I never really thought about it though, maybe someone will have more insight on the matter.
  9. I think this is what you are talking about., if not disregard. I've had good luck with these in the 33lb. They are fairly small too. http://www.***.com/Owner_Hyper_Welded_Quick_Snaps/descpage-OHQS.html
  10. I didn't get a length, after the pic I weighed her and let her go. There was another pic with the fish on the scale so, I could go and measure the length of the scale and then use that to get a rough estimate of the length by comparing its size to the the size of the fish. I might have to go back and do that.
  11. It was a blast, I set the hook and she immediately started taking drag and actually wrapped me half way around a small limb. Luckily I had a friend with me who was quick with the net and we got the boat backed up enough to scoop her up right as I got her untangled. I was pumped when we got her into the boat. I wouldn't say I went total Ike, but I let out a pretty loud yelp.
  12. Thanks all for the nice comments, It's still really low. It's down about 37'. It's wild cruising and looking at contour lines on your electronics and them saying they are 45ft deep but, there is only 8 fow below the boat.
  13. Went out this past weekend with a friend to fish O.H. Ivie and had a pretty good weekend. I ended up catching a new personal best and my first double digit bass weighing in at 10.75 lbs. Caught her on a Siebert Outdoors storm series jig, 1/2oz brush in the series with a big bite yodaddy in easy money as a trailer. She was sitting at the base of a small tree in 3-4 FOW. I figured I would share it with yall.
  14. I think he was referring to the color of the soft plastics and not the actual fish color. I could be wrong though.
  15. I used Zing on my boat and it worked wonders. I just cut it 50/50 with water and applied it with a scrub brush and just let it sit for a little bit and then hosed it off. http://www.zingboatcleaners.com/ Here are some pics only using Zing, this was before I washed and waxed it.
  16. I'll fish them pretty much like the way ww2farmer does. I'll either peg a light weight or do a light carolina rig know as a mojo rig. You peg a mojo slip shot weight at your desired length ahead of the bait. The slim slip shot weights come through the grass a little easier than bullet weights do. I learned this technique from one of Gene's videos and had a lot of success with it.
  17. *** *** 6'7" mh/f would be my choice for crankbaits around timber. At least that would be my choice for squarebills around timber. I'd use a good fluoro from 16-20lbs.
  18. Agreed, Tuckahoe Joe hit the nail on the head.
  19. X2 on my storage and organization.
  20. I've been debating between an 803 and a 853 as a dock flipping/pitching rod. I like the 803 because Im not very tall and I think the shorter rod will be easier to work with and a little more accurate getting under and between tight docks. Anyone have any suggestions? Also, do the NRX's come with standard or micro guides? I apologize in advance that this doesn't pertain to the OP but, I figured since the post is about NRX's that it would be better to post in here instead of making a whole new post.
