  1. I've fished them in stained water with great success. I actually got more bites with a moderate retrieve over deep grass than slow rolling it.

    7'8" h/f with 15# fluoro on a calcutta 300.
  3. I've owned a lot of carrot stix and have only broke one due to user error. The one I broke just happened to be one of the 1st gen wilds that I believe people were having the most issues with. I haven't had any problems with the micro guide series at all and most likely will be buying some of the new pro grade TI series when they are available in the casting models.
  4. I'd go with a power pole.
  5. My parents have a cat named Waffles.
  6. x2 on this, I use maybe 5% of what I have on a regular basis. Luckily getting a new boat made me clean out a lot of stuff that I'm just go to donate to a high school fishing club.
  7. My brother just happened to have a veritas and a veracity in his office. Here is a pic of the veritas micro guides compared to the veracity guides. I would consider the veracity to have semi micro guides.
  8. I think a mh veritas is perfect for your needs. My brother frogs with a veritas/premier combo and has had zero issues getting fish out of cover. I've messed around with it a few times, its a pretty stout rod for a mh.
  9. I'm not saying that it wouldn't work, I personally wouldn't use it to punch though. I like a faster, low profile reel for that. I think it would be more suited for big cranks and swimbaits though.
  10. I agree, they make a great product and their customer service is top notch.
  11. I have a ML, M, and a MH micro magic, all 7' and a M white ice 7'2" and really like them. I don't have any experience with cashion rods but they seem to get decent reviews. If you already enjoy your duckett baitcasters, I wouldn't hesitate to get a spinning rod. Mine have served me very well.
  12. Just saw a post where my favorite elite series pro had a Hawgtech handle and ceramic bearings on his real. Pretty cool to see products from a site sponsor on an elite pro's reel.
  13. I know Shimano isn't going to do it but, I wouldn't mind seeing a 100 series reel in the new curado lineup. Definitely excited about the possibility of a 50 though.
  14. I like sunline shooter and berkley trilene 100%.
  15. I just use the original.
  16. I use 10# pp on two, 12# nanofil on another, and 8# berkley trilene xl pro grade 100% fluoro on the fourth.
  17. That would definitely work and it can be used for multiple applications.
  18. Siebert tournament widegap.

I'll stick with the gamakatsu split/drop hooks, never really had a problem with line twist anyway.
  20. Likewise, these are pretty much the only two hollow body frogs I throw. I've yet to find a frog that is easier to walk or that walks better than the phat frog.
  21. Fluoro for soft jerks and mono for hard jerks.
  22. I guess everyone has their own taste, I personally think chrome is god awful! Although I will say, I think it does have its place on older vehicles. Only way I would like it with chrome would be on a 100% factory restoration. I think the painted bumpers on the charger look good with that style of restoration. Never really been a big mopar fan either. If I had that kind of cash though, I would have to drop it on a wimbledon white boss 429.
