  1. So today during my tournament I dunked my LTB and Lew's tournament mg should I clean it or do you think it will be alright? The water was clear if that matters. Tight lines Andrew
  2. Had a junior tournament today at lake Anna. We launched at 8:00 am out of sturgeon creek marina, and made our way up to dike three. I pull up to a spot and third cast hook into a 4.95 pound bass off of a secondary point. Really shallow water for the water temp of 49. That ended up being the only fish caught out of our boat today and 1 of three fish weighed in. I ended up winning by almost 3 pounds Tight lines Andrew
  3. I have a veritas among my mojo bass and it's definetly a stiffer rod. It's got pretty good sensitivity. Would I get another? If the price was right yes. I like my St Croix's. A mojo wouldn't be bad with that reel either Tight lines Andrew

  10. Welcome to the forums and you should make a post in the intro forum. Second you should also update your profile to show your location so other Virginians can give you specific things based on location. You'd be surprised how many VA guys are on this forum. On fishing that reservoir I honestly have no idea never been there but with Lake Anna temps in the 40's and cold weather in the forecast the water is gonna be cold for early to mid march jerkbaits jigs spinnerbaits would be my guess hope I help Tight lines Andrew
  11. All in all it depends. The bass spawn when the dogwoods bloom. The water is still cold on Anna (low 40's) and with cold weather and snow set for March first I'm not expecting it to be very different than it is now. My guess would be jerkbaits super slow rolled spinnerbaits and mabey a deep diving crank or too Tight lines Andrew
  12. Exactly and I don't like the idea of losing a 1.5 ounce tungsten weight that's 7 bucks I don't have to throw away tight lines Andrew
  13. Original wiggle wart pre rapala Tight lines Andrew
  14. I have a falcon zip hard shell thing I don't know what you would call it lol but I only use that when I'm a co angler on the boat I made a rack with a corner guard and some foam that holds all my buzz baits/spinnerbaits/whatever else I stick in it all on the lid of my storage compartment Tight lines Andrew
  15. Bassmaster.com home page will show you everything from lauch to war room pull out weigh in etc.. All on live feed Tight lines Andrew
  16. Go to http://georgiabassnation.com and look under the youth section a lot of states have junior clubs where you have volunteer boat captains for example I fish with Orange County highschool here in Va it's a B.A.S.S club. We fish multiple tournaments during the year and fish three junior state qualifiers per year you place in the top three and you qualify for the state championship which if you win there you move onto the regional tournament with the adult state team and could potentially fish the junior bassmaster classic. It's an awesome way to get started in tournaments and you learn a lot Tight lines Andrew
  17. I was on Anna the last warm spell we had and the lake was frozen down below the 208 bridge and the only open water was down by dike 3 water was like 39 degrees. I'm fishing hotside on Sunday but if you do go out I would hit deep water points down around that area with suspending jerks, blade bats, etc you never know. It could be hit or miss, but I know one thing the water should still be pretty cold. Call up Anna point or sturgeon creek they will be able to hook you up with the best data. If worse comes to worse and your on the lake and the bass arn't biting the stripers are schooling by dike three so that could be fun. Tight lines Andrew
  18. we have a maxxum 101 and couldn't be happier with it its quiet and is easy to control you should like it a lot tight lines Andrew
  19. Anything constantly moving but there's something about flipping a jig to a dock and feeling a solid thump that really gets the blood flowing can't wait till it's dock fishing season again Tight lines. Andrew
  20. I like the sunline and am in the process of switching over to sunline from power pro Tight lines Andrew
  21. I will add another vote to the mojo bass I have the 7'8 and love it for anything from a 3xd and up Tight lines Andrew
  22. Don't throw legend out either the have padded decks for when your fishing are a stable platform and are excellent in rough water that's from a friend who also owns a triton. I have a stratos and really like it in rough water and I've fished in rangers tritons bumble bees. But that's just me Tight lines Andrew
  23. Straight through bluewater is where we got ours Tight lines Andrew
  24. Talk to the boater before hand find out what he plans on fishing then adjust tackle from there if he's throwing a crankbait your not going to be able to effectively fish a jig as for food light stuff like crackers chips etc.. Things you can eat while making a run Tight lines Andrew
