Warmer months yes a crank spinnerbait or spook are my go to first cast baits, wintertime generally don't bother with them because I will make a lot of casts won't find any fish and then come across a point throw a jerkbait and wham fish on I'm not a good winter time angler still trying to learn this time of year lol Tight line Andrew

  9. ST CROIX love my LTBs have rages an avid and multiple mojos cant go wrong with them in my opinion. have a couple abu's they are a pretty good rod but i prefer my Croixs. As for reels i have a few PQ's, 4 lews and a shimano spinning reel in the future I will go straight lew's for baitcasters and maybe get a couple more shimano spinning reels tight lines NAS
  10. 7' mh fast mojo or veritas 40# pp whichever is rigged up to my liking more and either a 6'8 ml x-fast rage or 6'10 m-xfast LTB

  12. Can't beat a classic rooster tail. I only use them in ponds when conditions call for a spinnerbait because the bass are too finicky for a normal spinnerbait. tight lines Andrew
  13. Money minnows, swimming superfluke in various sizes, sea shad, some generic brand that i have had laying around, a local company around here called lake Anna bait co Gary Yammamoto and a couple of others i have had used and forgot about. These are my new absolute favorites. it caught better fish than the Huddleston deluxe weedless shad tight lines Andrew
  14. Today was the first day I have actually gotten to fish the Shockwave for an extended period of time and man does it catch fish. The bait has an awesome side to side action when rigged on a 5/0 owner twistloc and a 3/8 oz tungsten weight. I like to fish soft plastic swimbaits a lot and this bait was most effective fished on the rig I described. I have never had a bait that was choked down by bass before. Every single one of the 15 fish I caught today with the biggest being 5+, was hooked way back almost into the gullet of the bass with most of the bait actually swallowed. Durability is another thing that really impressed me with this bait. I only had to replace the bait once because the spot where the hook penetrates the bait got so big it would not stay on the hook anymore. Missile baits definitely got it right with this bait. tight lines Andrew
  15. They have the potential to be from pre spawn to spawn to post spawn depending on the water temp if people are saying that they see them spawning thhen the big females have probably already spawned tight lines Andrew

  18. If you search micro guides in the forums search function you will find all that you could want to read on them lol I have micro guides on my St Croix spinning rods and I really don't notice anything I have standard guides on all my baitcasters and they work so there's no reason to fix what isn't broke Tight lines Andrew
  19. Hmmmm I honestly don't know what that might be I've experienced it when testing free spool but never while casting and it hasn't hindered it's performance at all I would open it up and take a look at the insides or send it in to one of the sponsors I'm sure one of them will pop in Tight lines Andrew
