We have looked around a bit and are going to be borrowing a 23 pitch merc trophy of of his 150 V-max when he gets a new one. That has been the prop we've been recommended and if we like that one that will probably be the prop we have a problem with chine walking and hole shot and that prop is one of the most stable props on the market and hope that will be the problem the marina we always launch at offered to let us try a bunch of different props to see which one we like best. A lot of peoples with this boat and a 150 on the back run mid 60s so we will see what happens Tight lines Andrew

We are looking to get a new prop for ours we have the same problem on my 99 stratos 273 vindicator and 89 yamaha (fully rebuilt from the ground up in 2007) were running 59 mph at 4700 rpms at WOT we have a 25 pitch 3 blade and believe the problem is too much prop were looking at getting the mercury to yamaha hub kit and getting the mercury trophy prop in 23 it should improve hole shot and stability both problems for us. Fished 25 today 19 in September and 77 practically weekly I can happily say Va has some quality lakes/rivers and that one fish Anna can be a real hawg factory sometimes Tight lines Andrew

WINDY WINDY WINDY WINDY Fished the Va bass federation nation Junior state qualifier today out of parkway marina and it just plain sucked practice day warm little bit of rain some slight promise for fish and then tournament day wake up air temp is 35 degrees and there is about a 20 mph wind constantly blowing with massive gusts that ended up making a kid fall in the 45 degree water (he's ok changed clothes and even saw him back out on the water ) because of lake conditions we were confined to Parkway marina and about 800 yds there were 14 boats with 28 anglers. With that many boats and such little protected space we were packed like sardines in the two protected coves I threw an A-rig 90% of the time and had a bass that was probably about 5 pounds follow the rig all the way to the boat. Once he saw me he was gone though. Out of all 28 anglers there were only three fish brought in I was not one of the ones who caught one lol. O ya forgot to mention it was snowing off and on the whole time we were out there, I just don't get this weather. Anyone else out on SML have any better luck today? Tight lines Andrew

Get a pack or two of the missile baits shockwave in shrapnel color, a pack of 5/0 worm hooks sinker stops and a 3/8 oz tungsten bullet weight. Put on the sinker stop slide on the bullet weight Texas rig the swimbait and peg the sinker. Cast and retrieve at a slow pace and hang on Tight lines Andrew
