for me, slowing down and using bigger worms are the keys to catching bigger fish. when it starts getting hot early morning spooks or devils horse followed by big worms.

been using original power pro 40-65 lb. test depending on how heavy the cover is. never had a problem.

Use Norman speed clips, don't like using loop knots either.

soft plastics-gambler-bitters-zoom. hard baits-bomber-rapala-strike king. also do have some custom made lures,but thay didn't brake the bank. they were well worth what I paid and more.

topwater-spainnerbaits-shallow cranks-deep cranks-lipless baits-jigs-jerkbaits-soft plastics-----then anything else you got.

if it's got some hazing use 3m marine buffing compound.it also has wax in it. works great.

have 2 Ray Scott sport tackle 6'9" med light rods with Penn 420ssg reels. have 10 lb. power pro on one and 4 lb. test Trilene XL on the other. very light rods that can cast the lightest lure with ease. have an ultralight tackle bag that stays in my truck at all times. will fish after work 2-3 times a week if I can't take out the boat at night. use everything from worm,crankbaits,topwater.Great setups for light line fishing.
