  3. you can't go wrong either way. been using big game as long as I can remember and 12 OR 15 LB. is what I use 95% of the time
  4. I was 8,started catching bream. then my dad took me to the golf course to fish while he hit balls and caught my first bass on a worm and that was it. nothing has been the same since. all for the better. even took up golf to hang with dad. he wasn't much of a fisherman but saw what it for me in a positive way. and for that am forever grateful.

  6. THIS.......................
  7. yeah.........this
  8. stick jackets, then in passenger seat of truck. or in rod locker. back of truck has a soft pad that is used for gyms, soft yet pliable. won't scratch reels. crown royal bags are great reel covers if you know someone that drinks a lot. LOL.
  9. I'd have to go with fishing license for my wife. She's been 1 time in the 11 years we've been together. Yet she still renews every year !!!!! and she gets a snook stamp also !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  10. This...................that's it.
  11. Big Game here,10-20 lb. depending on lure and cover. mean green all the way.
  12. everything and anything right now. getting hot so we gonna start punchin soon. can hardly wait........
  13. I use a pro max 1600 or a black max 1600 and can cast the lightest baits with no problem. try online auctions to find a decent model. they are older abu's but you can't beat em. I put ceramic bearings in one of my black max's to see if it would help. didn't really notice a difference. great little reels with a 6 foot rod med.light action would be great.
  14. same reel, self built rod, same action. St. Croix blank.
  15. I used to fish a small residential lake that had a few houses around it. was the best place for bass, bream, shiners, catfish. then developer bought the rest of the lots and you know what happens after that. but for about 5-6 years it was the go to place after school, weekends, just to be able to go.
  16. lost my favorite Rattle Trap.......the only problem there was a rod and reel attached to it. never saw em again. bounced right out of the boat when my buddy stepped on the handle. didn't notice it gone for about 1/2 second. ever see 2 guys dive in to the Stick Marsh to go after a lost combo? we didn't forget to anchor the boat...................oh well......still can't forget it.
  17. yes, you always need more tackle. pages 31 through 95 of the latest BPS catalog should suffice. all of it..
  18. you only live once, enjoy the ride. if that's what makes you feal good, happy, whatever, enjoy it for all it's worth.I'm lucky my wife gives me the freedom to enjoy my vices.buying lures, rods, gear etc. is just a plus in my life.

these are the ones he made for me and pictures don't do them justice. came in the mail yesterday and am blown away by the detail, finish and quality craftsmanship that went into each of these. can't thank you enough.
  20. same here, just never really could get used to it. Big Game is what I use. or braid.
