  1. I also use abu 45/4600 reels with light braid with no problem. but my favorite setup is an older 1600 pro max. perfect reel for light braid.
  2. very nice boat. buddy has the same year since new. loves it big roomy,lots of storage,great ride. overall nice boat.
  3. same here,bass were on fire…….sunday afternoon golf course fishing was great.

  5. do what you feel is the way to go. some people don't like bait casting and that's ok. spinning tackle is great to use. if you feel it's time to try bait casting get the best combo that your budget will allow,but don't skimp. remember you get what you pay for. plus if you get a quality setup it makes it easier to learn on.
  6. see above. they know what they're talking about. I have 4 flipping/pitching/punching rods. from 7-3 to 8 ft. each one has a different application. find what works for you.
  7. would like to thank everyone for your concern. just got power/wi fi back this morning. lost a couple trees,fencing. lots of cleanup in the neighborhood.but everyone is ok. boat made it ok.LOL. AGAIN THANK YOU ALL .I feel as though we are part of one big family. crypt.
  8. I use white or lighter colors at night all the time. works great in clear water,bright full moon. you have to try all colors to find out what works under the given conditions.
  9. yeah….. I live on the east coast,just south of the cape. and it's not very pretty right now……….oh well we'll see what happens.
  10. see above. I live in Melbourne,right on the coast and my boat is secured to my truck next to the house. bilge is not to full but has enough to keep it stable. cover is off wind will play hell on a cover. had one look like a grizzly got to it.
  11. oh heck yeah,one of the best things to do……………….watch a bass rise on a fly,popper etc. what a rush.it's one of those things you really can't explain. you have to do it. like skydiving.

  14. abu garcia's old 1600 promax or black max.they haven't been made in 20 years but I still have 6 that I use every time I fish. bulletproof. not the lightest thing, but really not heavy. can throw 8 lb. mono with one all day long.
  15. spinnerbaits when casting under docks etc. you can roll cast with that length and it works great. made one for myself and it's 6'4". also has a pistol grip. remember those?
  16. does anyone know of a good trolling motor repair center in central florida. my motor guide took a crap today. and I really need to fish. checked for voltage and it;s there but motor won't spin. thanks,crypt
  17. found 2 of the shock rods on clearance last week 20 bucks each !!! walmart.

  20. see above……have one along with the rods that I build and it is awesome.I only have 4 store bought rods left in my arsenal and Dobyns are 3 of these. I have 26 rods. that says something about the quality. really like em.
  21. a little less but not that much. that's why I use braid
  22. location,location,location............go where the food is. we are just like fish we go where the food is. only thing is there food moves around a lot. we go to the fridge.
  23. 30 lb. is the heaviest i've used for flipping/punching. and yes have had a jig take my hat off from close range.
  24. that it catches fish.
