  1. fished the area last summer. plastic worms,soft jerk baits,topwater plugs,shallow crank baits. baby 1- is a great crank bait for that area,just pick your spots.have a blast down there,caught a lot, nothing really big, just great fishing.

  3. 2 rods,each with one lure of your choice and the other with same for both of you,then 3 biggest bass,total weight then biggest bluegill. just to make it different.

  6. 6 on the deck at all times,the rest in the box 14, when one comes out one goes in. can't stand a cluttered deck. plus have tripped over them before when they were all on board……….hate going in the drink………more than once.

I love every aspect of fishing,the prep,organizing,making my rods,modifying tackle,reels. even sharpening hooks ! then getting up at 4 am,driving 3-4 hours.getting there and the weather turns to crap…..that's what I love……..can't wait to go this weekend. at least until I die.then we'll see what happens after that…...

  10. mudhole will get you started.they have tutorials online,you can call them for help. MHX blanks,ST.CROIX. many to choose from. have made 12 in the last year and now can make the rod with the action that I want.first couple were sort of an experiment, but now can set up handles,wrap micro guides with no problems.plus it really does feel pretty cool when you catch fish with em.
  11. I know a lot of you don't use or like ambassadeur 4600c4's but that is a powerhouse of a reel for froggin in the slop,just like a winch. I know it's a little heavy but I use em all the time..but that's me.
  12. 8 foot MHX flipping blank,micro guides,65 lb. braid,4/0-5/0 jungle flipping hook,gambler Why Not. 1-1/2 oz-2 oz. depends on how thick the mat is.
  13. Big game 12-15 lb. for most everything 20 -25- for light flipping. braid for heavy flipping,punchin.
  14. I'm biased but I would go with Ranger I bought mine new in 1998 sold it 2 years later when dad got sick,then bought it back from guy I sold it to 3 years ago and still think its the best boat I've ever owned.

  22. startron marine fuel stabilizer,best stuff i've ever used. plus I only use ethanol free gas.

    bomber,rick clunn,strike kings kvd models silent or rattle. biggest fish was caught on a bomber square bill at stick marsh. 14.2
  24. another tip is to slow down when casting ,my son had same problem when learning to cast he was trying to throw it to the moon. now he can cast as good as anyone.practice practice practice……
  25. had the same problem,used a dremel with a fine cutoff wheel,then a small file to clean up the edges.
