I bought 1 pack of them a while ago when I saw it on sale. You poke the weight through the worm and then thread the hook through that slot at the top of the weight. The slot ends up in the middle of the senko. What I found was that the senko tore up way more using this setup. I have moved on to a weighted wacky hook. The VMC ... 1/16 to 1/8 mainly.

Funny ... when I first started fishing I wondered if my expectations were too high and then I found Dave Mercers show. In seeing that ratio between casts and catches I realized that my expectations were way off. Purely ignorance on my part. Do I count my own ... no ... but it certainly shed a light on my expectations when I am out there. If anything it helped me to be more focused on the process of catching fish and let the rest work itself out.

I am biased towards the Abu Garcia setups. If you can find the Silver Max with the Vengence rod that would be ideal. I have seen a few in DSG. For the record I own two of these and even though I have better quality stuff now I still have these in my lineup.

Someone else already answered it but I suspect the backlashes are the culprit. I had the same thing happening to me two seasons ago. When my line snapped mid cast tossing out a Zara Spook my boater told me the same thing. An old kink from a backlash may not result in an immediate break but will eventually. Ever since then if I end up with a serious backlash I replace the line before my next tournament. Especially if it's fluorocarbon.

I just got the bigger one. It made me want to try the smaller one though. I find the smaller style walk the dogs a little more difficult in general though.

I am in love with the River2sea Rover. Walks amazing and has a little popper nose which spits water.

Plastics work in all kinds of conditions. Just need to choose the right plastic and colors. Case in point ... A Black senko has performed for me in almost every condition. Including stained/dirty waters.

I want to like the idea. I have used all different kinds and I have always resulted in going back to tying for each change. You would be surprised how fast you can tie a knot after enough practice. I also bank fish a lot.

Yup ... those are basically the only two colors you need.

For the spinning I would use 15lb Smackdown with a leader of fluoro leader. 15 lb fluoro on the others. Invizx.

My little system is not new or original but it works for me. I first tend to use a moving bait like a spinnerbait or finesse swimbait in my favorite color. White or some translucent white color. No bites ... I slow down with a mojo rig or dragging bait. Green pumpkin. If it's gin clear I go watermelon or watermelon red. Dirtier ... black/blue. Any other colors I choose are merely for entertainment purposes only.

I tend to use all Abu Garcia setups. Why change now. Wouldn't hurt to be sponsored by Hooters. For their wings of course.

I am extremely happy with my Strike King S11's. I now own 4 pairs of them. On my last fishing trip I was sight fishing with a friend who was wearing Costa's and I could see just as good as him. I even spotted several fish throughout the day which he missed with his glasses. Not saying they are better ... just saying they are good enough for me and you can't beat the price!
