  1. What was wrong with the Met MGL's?
  2. Not sure why you felt the need to call me out in the first place, but in your highlighted sentence he never says "big top end speed" yet he is speaking from actual experience which to you, apparently doesn't mean much. My real world experience means I have actually been in the same boat that went from a 45 to a 70 and it made a huge difference. Again, to the OP yes a 55 would be better than a 30. Sorry, I guess I will argue semantics.
  3. Edit* I'm not going to argue over semantics. Yes, the 55 will be a better option.
  4. 45-42 KC, Butker with a 46 yarder to win it as time expires
  5. I would like to see that email from Minn Kota, because whoever told you that should lose their job lol
  6. Ummm, from reading some of the posts here, I would say they do.
  7. No matter how bad people seem to dislike BPT/MLF (and apparently a lot of people do) the anglers thought it was in their best interest to move away from BASS and give this new format a shot. We have already seen 2 anglers decide it wasn't for them and they moved back to BASS, which is again a personal choice. I just see it as people doing whatever they think is best for whatever reason, but most of us know it probably had something to do with money. None of us know what "deals" or "promises" were made to these guys (some here think they do) so we really don't know the reasons for the mass exodus of BASS. I just don't get the disdain or resentment toward this new trail.
  8. I have the rod and use it for 3/16 - 1/4 oz T-Rigs. I have yet to even try it with a moving or reaction bait because it is simply an awesome rod for those T-Rigs. I would say it has a bit of a softer tip than my Zodias 6'10 MH but it seems to have more backbone. I have 2 Zodias 6'10 MH and a Zodias 7'2 MH that I use for different bottom contact techniques. I wish I could afford to replace all of them with the Poison Adrena lol But I got skunked yesterday, so you should probably take my advice with a grain of salt
  9. I have a Poison Adrena in the 6'11 M+ and it is an AWESOME rod. I have been using it for 1/4oz T Rigs and it is a blast to use. I haven't used any reaction baits because I have other rods for that, but I am guessing it would do well. I bet you would enjoy the 6'10 M F as I have that rod in the Zodias line and use it for Med crankbaits and it has about a perfect bend to it.
  10. I have been charging mine the last 2 weeks with lows in the 20's and one night down to 8 and I haven't had a problem.......yet, I guess. lol
  11. Hard to picture in my head, but can the shaft be moved down any? If the shaft could slide down, moving it further down in the water, then theoretically it would also be closer to the nose of the boat when stowed. That would shorten the distance of the head of the TM to the pedal. That's about all I can think of off the top of my head without a picture.
  12. Did you contact the "no name" retailer and send a pic, or just ask us first? If I am at Chili's and I order a burger with mustard and it comes with mayonnaise I don't post it here and ask what I should do, I don't see why you would ask here without first asking the retailer. Or, maybe even a pic here to see what people think..... I don't know, just seems odd to run here first.
  13. Yep, been doing it since I was uploading pics of my T-Rex to post.
  14. I bought the one from the Met after reading about it, but it is a little bit more shallow than the K. I am going to try one from the Bantam MGL. https://fishshop.shimano.com/collections/bantmgl150xg BNT 5778
  15. It will still be the same things said, just in a different way. You will get the Tatula, SLX, Lew's TMB guys that say those reels are worth every penny and the guys with $400 reels will say they are worth every penny.
  16. Looks like we have a duel......
  17. I will report back my findings after this weekend......assuming I'm not still adrift the lost on the lakes of Oklahoma Edit: just clicked the link, guess it won't reach this far....dang
  18. And when Takahiro finds you, he might get in the boat with you and ask to borrow a lure.
  19. Lol, I think.....No telling how many times I've said that to myself.
  20. Just watched the second day of the 2019 Classic, Ott weighed in 5 fish for 10 lb 5 oz, now I see why chasing 5 giants is so exciting. Hahaha If the 2 lb limit was in effect, he might not have even got to weigh 5 in. But I understand what you are saying about showing the different techniques. Ott, MDJ, Wheeler, Zaldain, Justin Lucas, all throwing a lipless, bladed jig or crankbait. So much different than what we see on the BPT. Just messing with you guys, don't get upset.
  21. I'm watching last years Classic right now and Mark Daniels Jr would disagree and say the ol Bill Lewis still reigns supreme.
  22. You always will until you buy the biggest available lol I just bought a boat and got to pick my TM and went with 80 lb, wish I would have went with the 112 lb after just a few trips. The only reason I didn't, was I would be going up to 36v, but if it would have just been a little extra to go up to the 112 and stay with a 24v I would have. Of course it is a little more complicated than that when it comes to shaft length, model etc.
  23. What do you mean it's not here yet? Edit* I was told when I bought my birds that it was available now, but I just checked the HB website and it is not. My fault. I got a lot of bad info when picking out my electronics, no surprise here. lol
  24. Anybody here like me and make impulse buys on things you don't really need because it's a good deal or too good to pass up? I try to stay off the auction site unless I am looking to make a specific purchase and I go there first to see if I can save some money. But last night I was bored and decided to browse around. Typed in "Shimano rod" and narrowed my search to "newest listed", "buy it now", and "new condition". I got a brand new Curado M glass rod for $100 shipped. Cool, saved $60 and got a new rod to try. Well dang, now I need a reel. Typed in "Shimano reel" and used the same things to narrow it down. Got a brand new Tranx 200 for $140 shipped. Didn't really need either, but I saved $120 in all and got some new gear. Not only that but I had to get in on the 6th sense deal yesterday on TW and ended up with 12 of them. I just tell my wife, the more I buy the more I save LOL
  25. That Tatula looks like it has a 14" handle (overall length) and that is pretty common on most modern rods. I would think there may be a few older rods out there with shorter handles but I am not familiar with them off the top of my head. I'm sure someone will chime in with some help.
