Crankbait water temp
Sorry, I failed to mention a lipless. I throw them when I find grass, water temp doesn't matter to me lol

BPT Lake Eufaula
Must be a good spot lol

Spring A-Rig
I tried it on 20lb Mono and went back to 65lb Braid with no leader. I have some 16lb Sniper I was thinking about trying.

Crankbait snaps
Yea, we have to try to fool the fish with an invisible line but don't worry about the giant wire hooks lol

Crankbait snaps
I fished for 20+ years thinking snaps where junk and direct tie was the only way to go. Then about 4 years ago I tried the Hyper Weld and it made me realize how much easier it is to change on the fly. Now, that being said. Think about this. When you do change a lure you are cutting off line that could be damaged so in turn that is a good thing. Same thing applies with snaps, it is a good idea to check the snap often and retie as needed. I am guilty of using the same snap without checking it and retying and thus breaking off on either a fish or getting hung up. IMO that is the only downfall of using a snap is not retying it often enough.

BPT Lake Eufaula
I've only got to see bits and pieces, but from the little time I have watched it seems as though they are targeting any where they can find some current. Chris Lane being the main one it is showing when I am able to glance over but I saw MD Jr and Todd Faircloth fishing similar areas.

Jerkbait
0-1 is pretty shallow for a suspending jb. I don't have any that run that shallow, maybe a floating jb?

Shimano Aldebaran 50mg size question
I also have the Metanium MGL and it is my favorite reel for throwing a T-Rig. Now that could be because it is on a Poison Adrena, but it is an awesome reel. I couldn't choose one reel to do everything you are wanting a reel to do, but if I had to choose just one reel to do all of those things, it would go like this (for the reels I currently own) Metanium MGL Scorpion MGL Aldebaran MGL Bantam MGL (my favorite reel, but probably not as light as you are wanting) Scorpion 70 Curado K I mean, if you really want a great one, look for a Core 50mg7. I have owned 5 or 6 and I kick myself everytime I sell one. LOL

Crankbait water temp
I'm not a northern guy, but I can tell you what I try depending on water temp. I will throw a deepish (6-beyond) till the water temp is nearing 50, once it hits 50 I will start trying a squarebill or shallow diver. I usually throw these on flats and points where I think the fish have moved up looking to feed, mostly along creeks next to flats. However, if I think they are still deeper I my run along that break line and throw to both sides of the boat "searching" for a depth they might be. I am going this weekend and there is supposed to be some wind so I am hoping the water is nearing 48 - 49 so I can try to pick some off on points

B.A.S.S. cancels Day 1 of St. Johns Elite event
I have fished a couple tournaments where I wish they would have canceled due to high wind. At least two of those times we quit before noon because you couldn't even hold the boat still on any part of the lake. I try to stay off our larger bodies of water (Texoma and Eufaula) when I know it's going to be windy, but when there was a tourney there we had no choice but to try. Just glad I fish for fun now so I can call the shots. LOL

Old DC Reels- Shimano Metanium MG DC vs Shimano Scorpion DC7

Crankbait snaps
Actually the Owner size 2 is the 46 lb. I use the size 0(26 lb) most of the time but will sometimes use the 1's(33 lb) on larger swimbaits. Mainly because of ease of use and usually fishing open water so I am not as concerned with grass as I am with a squarebill or lipless. https://www.ownerhooks.com/product/hyper-welded-quick-snap/

Bow step ladders
Well, I received mine in the mail and got it put on today. I think I am really going to like it. The only negative I could tell was it had very thin strips of red non-slip tape on the treads that left metal exposed. It only took me stepping on it once or twice to realize that was an issue. I happen to have a roll of non-slip tape so I measured the treads and cut some strips to fit. That worked out way better. I plan to send pictures to the company as a suggestion on how to improve their product. Anyway, only time will tell, but just sitting there it seems to be an improvement. You can see the black non-skid tape is what I added and the red tape is what comes on the steps.

Shimano Aldebaran 50mg size question
I have the Scorpion 70xg and the Aldebaran 50. To me, I would go with the Alde every time for anything that might be under that 1/4 oz threshold. As a matter of fact, I also own a Scorpion MGL and would probably choose it over the 70. I have tried using the 70 with lighter weight lures, but I find it shines at about 3/8 oz and up. I actually moved my 70 to my Carolina Rig and throw 3/8 to half oz with it. Others may find different results, but that is just my opinion.

Crankbait snaps
Owner Hyper Welded sz 0 Use them on spinnerbaits, crankbaits, chatterbaits, jerkbaits, swimbaits, etc. Never had an issue with one failing. I have been hung up and broke the line before the snap broke. I actually got hung up with a chatterbait one time with 40lb braid and broke the chatterbait snap but not the Owner.

Swimbait reel?
Easy get? People are asking more for the 300e's than a new Tranx and you can't hardly find a new 200d. Not easy finds at all.

Reel Pairing
LOL, that was my first question, but since the thread was about the reel I figured I would just leave it alone.

Reel Pairing
Well, as you will soon see this thread will be just like every other thread when asked about what reel would be the best. You are going to get a bunch of different suggestions. Let's see, you will get Shimano Bantam, Met, Chronarch MGL, Aldebaran...Daiwa Tatula (all different models) Steez.....Abu Revo MGX.......Lews 27 position 6 pin deal......maybe you get the idea. So, I will start with suggestion #1 The new 2020 Shimano Met or the current one for about $300 Good luck!

3 bank on board battery charger
I have the Minn Kota MK330D. Although I have only had it about a month and a half it works great. I leave it plugged in at all times. Temperatures down to 6 degrees and it hasn't given me any problems. https://minnkotamotors.johnsonoutdoors.com/battery-chargers/board-digital-chargers

Shimano Expride 6'8 MH Question
First of all, this question might be pointless as I may just have to try it to decide for myself because I think some rods are just that way and some rods feel different to some people. That being said, if anyone owns this rod, what do you find it best suited for? I found a really good deal on one and plan to pair it with an SLX 70 mgl. Right now I am thinking maybe a bottom contact rod for 3/16 - 3/8 T-rigs or jigs. I usually use at least a 6'10 or longer for those types of techniques but I think this rod may handle it. Maybe for creek fishing? Skipping docks? Just trying to get an idea of what others may be using it for. Thanks

Line Spoiling Tools
I have 4 kids I can use to hold a pencil, a spooling station sure would be a lot less hassle though.

Help me decide
My only suggestion, whatever TM you decided on, make sure it has spot lock. Assuming you don't have Power Poles or Talons
