  1. What?????? How would that even work? I hope he explained himself. If not, what is his name? I would like to reach out to him as I am interested to know how that is even possible.
  2. But it is though https://fish.shimano.com.sg/content/fish/asia/sg/en/homepage/ProductPage.P-19SCORPIONMGL.html
  3. I have not used the 150 MGL, so I can't compare them. Sorry
  4. I wonder if that graph is even on, or if he has it in "stand-by" mode. Bad Dad joke, I know.
  5. I would take a good look at a 19 Scorpion MGL if I were you. I love mine and it will do just about anything you could want it to do.
  6. That sucks man. I feel for you. One of my best friends (actually my Son's step-dad. Weird, I know). Worked on a rotating shift and there were times we would go fishing or golfing together and he would tell me he got home at 5 am and slept till 7 am and we left at 7:30 am and golfed till 3 pm and he had to be back at work at 5 pm to work another 12 hour shift.
  7. After posting the DST thread and reading threads about what time people leave to go fishing, it got me to thinking. Do you have a "set" bed time, or a time you at least try to be in bed by? I have a hard time falling asleep so it really doesn't matter if I go to bed at 9, 10, 11, etc. I never know when I will fall asleep. I am 42 years old and spend a lot of my time on the go, ballgames or whatever. I don't have to get up till 6:45 on work days so I "try" to at least be in bed by 11:00 every night. Some nights I may go to sleep at 12:30 and some nights it may be 3:00. I have never been one to be an early riser, always a night owl. Do you have a set time that you go to bed or do you just wing it? For example, we are on Spring Break so I don't have to get up at any certain time in the morning so here I am posting random stuff on the internet. But, my wife's internal clock told her it was bed time at 11 and she has been asleep since. She will also wake up without an alarm at 6:30 in the morning and I might wake up at 7 or it might be 10 since I don't have an alarm set.
  8. With the price of gas and my truck getting about 9 mi a gallon pulling the boat, about 20-30 miles. LOL Kidding aside, I have no reason to do an overnight anymore since I quit tourney fishing. I have a LOT of good lakes within an hour or so.
  9. Just about any handgun should work for her with a well placed shot to the head. Oh.....wait, you mean what gun should she carry. My bad......
  10. Did Matty Wong not fish? I didn't get to watch and just noticed he had 0.
  11. If I had a paper bracket, I would throw it away. I had Kentucky in the finals. I'm terrible at this. LOL
  12. I have no idea how you like to fish, but if I owned those rods, it would be 4 different techniques. SC Avid X 7' ML 1/8 - 3/8 - Drop Shot Tatula 6'10 ML XF 1/16 - 3/8 - Ned Rig Dobyns 692 SF 1/8 - 1/2 - Shakey Head G Loomis 842 SJR F 1/8 - 3/8 - Crazy as it may sound a Carolina rigged fluke (1/8 or 3/16)
  13. I should add. I don't feel fishing the different days gives one group an advantage over the other since they are only competing against guys that are fishing that same day. Possibly, just maybe, the ones that advance from Group B would have a small advantage going into day 5 since they just fished the lake the previous day. I don't know that there is enough evidence to suggest it makes a difference though.
  14. You loved watching a 20 minute show where they spent 8 hours to come up with 20 minutes of footage? On stocked ponds, got it! Group A fishes day one, Group B fishes day 2, Group A fishes day 3 and Group B fishes day 4. The winner of Group A and B advance to the finals. They take the top 19 of Group A and the top 19 of Group B and they fish on day 5. The top 8 advance to the finals where they are joined by the winners from Group A and B. It isn't hard to understand at all.
  15. No boats or lakes either, just bank fishing down at the local stocked pond?
  16. It's more than likely your overall attitude, not the fact that you disagree with people. You bashed it before you ever used it. Of course you were going to stand by your comments and report back that it was no better than the cheap stuff.
  17. Mine has only done it once or twice in the last few days. Definitely much better.
  18. I agree, those 4:30 alarms come early when daylight is 6:00.
  19. No better test than in your living room without casting it or even fishing with it. I'd say you are well on your way to owning a piece of junk.
  20. Now that it has passed in Congress, I hope it passes in the House and gets signed by the President. I know this is a sore subject for some people but it will give the working class a little bit longer to hunt/fish in the evenings from Nov - March. There are a lot of days in Nov and Dec that I can't make it to the deer stand in time, but an extra hour sure would come in handy. An extra hour in Feb and March might get me on the lake as well.
  21. A dozen, that's a bunch. Just guessing....probably all cheap ones. This thread is about Tatsu. I have used Invizx, Shooter and Sniper, along with Tatsu and they are great lines. This would be like a softball forum and a parent asking about a Rawlings heart of the hide glove (about a $400 glove) and people posting that Rawlings gloves are junk because they went to Wal-Mart and bought a cheap one that fell apart.
  22. Okay, sounds good. Comparing a $12 spool of 330 yds to a $40 spool of 200 yds that you have NEVER used just proves a lot of our points. Those that have actually used it, thinks it is worth it. Those who haven't, not even sure why they have an opinion. So, tell me you have never used Tatsu without telling me you have never used Tatsu. That's the problem with the internet, people give an opinion with ZERO experience with the product. I don't comment on Daiwa reel threads because I haven't used one since about 2010. I only comment on products that I have experience with. But continue to tell people they are wasting their money on something you have absolutely no experience with.
  23. I saw a Meme about him coming back that involved him being home with his wife and kids for the last 2 months and that is why he is coming back. I can't post it here, because I would like to stay an active member.
  24. Abrasion resistance is worth it to me. Braid is not great in rocks or wood (it slides in it too easily). It is far superior to mono in sensitivity, also just IMHO. I don't use fluoro often, but it has its place and if you don't need it, then I completely understand, but to say it's a waste of money is not taking all factors into consideration.
