  1. Obviousle a bass will eat a turtle, but I am sure there are plenty of other things it would rather eat. I caught a pickeral one that obviously had a fairly large turtle in its stomach.
  2. Guy by me in Central VA make nice Jet boats for the James River. He uses Rhino hulls and custom builds whatever you want. http://www.jamesriverjets.com/Boat_spec.htm He also does alot of Elecric boats with the same hull and a big electric outboard. They haul.
  3. Yea. The stuffing is what I meant
  4. I have been doing this for a while and works great. Anyone else stuff the tube with a worn or craw?
  5. I would prefer if it just had the electronic sound. The rattles are so loud and the chirping is soooo low.
  6. I have a NIB Chartreuse with black back and orange belly squarebill for $10 shipped if anyone wants it.
  7. Sometimes less expensive baits catch more fish than more expensive ones. Reason is you are not afraid to throw the cheaper one into brushpiles and other places the fish hang out.
  8. I find the high end tackle more amazing. There are such well made rods and reels for reasonable prices that there is no way a $400 rod or reel is that much better or wont get the job done any better. Its a status thing if you asked me.
  9. This bait always intrigued me. The Cuddlefish action looks amazing in the water
  10. Mainly for fishing rocks where the sinker gets hung. I fish more wood and tie a regular bell sinker on. When I get hung its always the hook in wood.
  11. This is an old pic of one I made. It's a little gaudy and bright bur works well in stained water. Prob more natural with less orange, a green scale back, and align the yellow/black skirt better I think the yellow with black stripes is called Yellow Jacket?? from FS.com
  12. But wouldn't a short shank #5 be lighter than the stock #5?
  13. I just bit the bullet and bought a shallow crank. Looks like a nice quality rattling crank. The electronic sound it emits is very faint and you can barely hear it even if holding it right to your ear. I know sound is louder under water but I would guess that the standard rattles is what would attract the fish's attention. For this price and waaaaaay under I think you can get a better squarebill.
  14. Maybe a #4 Gama magic eye shortshank would work. You would need to weight each on a gram scale to be precise. I have these Gama and #4 KVD short shank I could have weighed in grams if you like. I will take a stock hook off a 100sp and a 78sp and weigh that too friday.
  15. Great deals in the flea market section here and other sites.
  16. PM me if ya want a deal on KVD;s Mods delete if this is not apropriate
  17. If youre asking what hooks go on a SK 6 series or 6xd, I believe they are #2. Or #1 short shank for replacements. From TW site Series 6 3" 3/4oz 12-15ft. Floating #2 hooks
  18. I do well in winter with the Zman French fry and a 3-4' leader. Think its called Centidedz.
  19. BPS has been selling them a loooooong time. Could be old and discontinued. Maybe you can get with a different color tail and dip in JJ's or Spikeit
  20. Lucky Craft Pointers suspend well out of the box. You can find them for about $10 if you look around. And dont fish it like KVD LOL. Slower with more subtle twitches and pause.
  21. I guess Google is your friend Looks like D & M makes them. Expendive boogers too.
  22. I have two of these in Bluegill and two in Black and blue. Well made and great detail. Look to be at least 1/2 oz.
  23. He is talking about a horizontal split in colors down the length of the bait. It could be done with a twinjector but now we are talking pretty advanced and more expensive equipment. And you can not get that effect dipping that I know of.
  24. Couple things. I would be willing to get your order shipped to me and I could ship it to you. Or perhaps someone you know or trust more could do that. I have a nice two cavity INJECTION mold for $125 that makes two tubes at a time with tentacles all cut. Or dip them yourself. That is cheap and fairly easy. I believe lurecraft makes a tube tail cutter.
  25. Ditto on the Chartreuse and white.
