it does come off, i have one and have taken it off with a nickel. they're easy to scratch up though so be easy with it.

took advantage of the sale on one knockers at overstock bait and snagged a couple of used megabass deep six cranks.

i fished in a charity tournament with my dad on logan martin this saturday. we weren't really fishing for the tournament, but more just having a good time. my dad's never fished in a tournament and we surely didn't take things too seriously! we caught a lot of fish, but most all of them were 10"-11" little spotted bass. i did manage a few keepers and one 4# stud caught walking the megabass giant dog x by this long grass line early in the morning. hit it so hard, running the opposite direction of my retrieve, it literally almost took the rod out of my hands. i caught the rod with my left hand before it went into the lake!!! we had a blast and sure enjoyed fishing that lake!

can't remember what mine is now, i wanna say petzl. but my #1 criteria in a good lamp is a good fit/lightweight because otherwise they make my head hurt so bad they're pointless.

i fish with the grooves on the bottom and assumed everyone else did too..... until this past saturday when i noticed my dad rigging one up with the grooves on the topside....

it's hard for me not to pick the guy every time. watching him on MLF made me a believer, he's good!

i think a lot had KVD and keith combs and that set a lot of folks back a little. i made a concerted effort to pick guys with as little share as possible so that i could try and make a move if they did well.....

i was fishing a lot of mardi gras colors while i was there!! i for one like a little hint of carolina blue in the skirts i tie on my spinnerbaits and my black and blue jig i tie uses the same carolina blue. the jig accounted for my PB, in NC so i'm gonna say it works! might have to suck it up and start slinging some black/red for the GA Dawgs Hawgs around here....

i don't clean them, but i probably should every now and again!

i've got some nice rods from dobyns dx, nrx, megabass..... but my favorite rod i think i own is a daiwa tatula 6'10"MHF. not even entirely sure what it is that makes me love it, but it'll do anything and do it pretty well and really feels great in my hands.

i advise against the bass mafia coffin for deep diving cranks. most of the deep divers i have won't fit into one slot in the bass mafia coffin. i like the plano crankbait trays myself.

spiderwire glo-vis getting the DI version of the fishfinder for my kayak instead of bumping up to at least one with GPS kayak i bought for my wife to use, she's used it about 3 times in 2 years....
