Lew's Witch One???
Not at all. The tournament speed spool and the tournament pro are close but not the Mg vs Pro. The TP is great little reel for the $140-150 price you can pick it up for. Super light and very solidly built. The carbon handle is a nice touch too.

Best Casting Rod Under 65 Bucks
I'd grab up a lightning rod shock from your local bps or walmart. Both places will warranty it. You didn't give us a lot of info so I'm going to suggest a 7' mh since it's a good all purpose rod. It's a great starter rod and if you look around on here it's been recommended a good bit. It was the first casting rod I owned and it's still in use today by my friend. The diesel is an ok rod for the money but has no warranty at all and it's kinda heavy. I sold the 2 I had. I'm a huge Powell fan at that.

Mojo Bass, Bucoo, Or Compre?
I love my bucoos. Just be careful when selecting one. Don't pay attention to the power ratings all that much. Go by the lure ratings. They are typically underrated by about .5-1 in the power catergory. Ex. their 6'10 heavy Pitchin stick is a med/hvy when going by lure ratings but their 7'0 mh has the same lure ratings and action.

Swimbait/wakebait Questions
This one is 2-6oz but I saw the okuma is rated at 1oz for the lowest which would be better for sure. Thanks for the info though. I'll pass on it then.

Swimbait/wakebait Questions
Yeah I've been looking at those for a few months now. There's just other combos I need more then that at the moment. From what I've read,I can get by for now with the baits I have and my 7'6 XH. Quick question though since we are on the topic of rods. My local shop has a daiwa musky rod that I can get a good price on. Would that be suitable to use?

Thanks for that video. Very informative and a great way to kill 40 minutes at work.

Swimbait/wakebait Questions
Yeah right now I don't have a dedicated swimbait setup. I'm using my 7'6 flippin stick that's only rated to 1.5oz.

Are You A Tackle Junkie / Hoarder? When Do You Know?
When you go through the clearance bin at your local shop and buy 3 squarebills. Then you realize when you are putting them away that you bought them last time you were there.

Lifeproof Phone Cases
The lifeproof case is a great investment. Even the clones found online get good reviews. I bought one to compare them and it's darn near exact. I submerged the case in the sink for an hour and had no water inside of it at all.

Line Conditioner
When spooling a reel with fresh line I make x amount of turns with the handle and spray l&l. Then just continue that process until it's full of new line. Then spray it down the night before I go fishing.

Jackall Flick Shake Worm
I've used it wacky rigged on a drop shot before. It caught plenty of fish. Also use it on a small 1/16 wacky jig head.

100 -130$ Crankbait Rod
I don't own any powell crankbait rods. I have a 703 max though but it's not the glass one. It's a nice rod. However I'd buy a Powell endurance over a Denali every single time if you're willing to spend $150 vs $100.

Keitech Impacts
I had a friend grab me a pack of the 4.8 bluegill flash bps brand just to compare them to the Keitechs. It's a perfect clone.

100 -130$ Crankbait Rod
I have a Jadewood 7' med/mod crankbait rod. It's very light and balances great with a 7.9oz reel. I throw squarebills with it.

Swimbait/wakebait Questions
I obviously realize there are exceptions to everything in fishing but asking for some advice to get started in the right direction is all I'm looking for. As we all know there are certain conditions where some things excel and sometimes they don't. Like throwing a spinnerbait in winter.

Theres a ton of weedlines on my main lake so that won't be a problem.

30Lb Braid Woes...
I've straightened out 4/0 ewg hooks pulling a snag free. So #30 is plenty strong but as mentioned it doesn't handle sudden stops at all. I've even had #50 break on me in mid cast before when I get a bit over zealous with my cast.

Swimbait/wakebait Questions
So thanks to this board I have purchased some popular swimbait/wakebaits that are recommended for beginners trying to get into this style of fishing. I have a few questions. Mainly when is the best time to throw these? Aside from dawn and dusk for things like the mini ms slammer. Do you prefer a slight chop for wakebaits or calm water? What line size would be suitable for them and are they fished on a slower ratio reel or faster? Any help is appreciated. Thanks in advance BR. I'll include what I've purchased so if you have any tips for a certain lure I'd love to hear them. Best Value 7'6" Heavy Action Flipping Rod ?
Yeah I'm pretty excited to get it. I have to wait until the place I'm buying it gets their order from Powell first. I've spoke with Keith 'owner of Powell' twice now and he's got me talked into it. Plus other stuff I've read about it online. I believe you mentioned it to me also.

Best Value 7'6" Heavy Action Flipping Rod ?
I just ordered a 775 yesterday. They've been out of stock at Powell for awhile now and places that sell them. If that gives you an idea of how popular of a rod it is.
