  1. Yeah I went to another one about 35-40 minutes from me and it's all still basically full price. Mustad trebles are $5 where my other Walmart went to $3 and then 2. I had plans of loading up but that didn't go as planned.
  2. I was about to mention the rodsman. I have 2 sets. They work great.
  3. 3 reels,4 rods, and a good many swimbaits/wakebaits. Plus a bunch of soft plastics and terminal tackle. All of which I didn't need but you gotta feed that monkey.
  4. I bought a pack of #4 Gamakatsu hooks to use. Those are what's on them now. I have some Mustad elite triple grips I could use too.
  5. 1/2 dozen would be fine with me. As for colors, here is a pic of the baits. You can just do whatever you'd like to match them. I understand that but I have no vice or supplies so by the time I purchase all that stuff I'm spending more then just having them made for me.
  6. I'm looking for someone that would make me some feathered trebles. Send me a pm or reply on here if that's something you'd want to do. I'll send you the hooks so you'll just need to perform the work and supply the feathers, thread, and epoxy. Something like 2 feathers per hook and some tinsel. Let me know how much you'd want.
  7. Thank you sir.
  8. Yeah I picked up some J Will style heads and I also have weighted swimbait hooks.
  9. Those are exactly the ones I bought. Pack of 11 Gammy's
  10. That's where these came from. They only carry the 3.8 fat and 4 regular.
  11. Answered. Please delete
  12. I use the same revised snell except I go 5 wraps. It hasn't let me down yet.
  13. Also don't rely entirely on ratio as it varies company to company. The ipt is the important factor. That said I have an 8:1:1 tatula and it'll be used for pitching jigs and also frogs. It's always easier to slow down then to speed up imo.
  14. I believe it's regionally based as far as sales go.
  15. A few friends have been doing pretty well ice fishing at Deep Creek Lake. It's not for me lol.
  16. He said the same thing during the live weigh in. Most of his fish were off a rapala then he switched to a prototype Livingston he didn't know he had. He even mentions that you can see it on the video when it airs on tv. Also said that he wasn't sponsored by Rapala and they have to use what works.
  17. We all experience it, just on different levels. I feel that I'm towards the upper end of the spectrum. I make sure all my bills are payed but I could definitely save a lot of money if I could keep my impulse buys under control. Ooooo those look nice. Hey that's on sale. Come home and I already have it lol. Could be worse I guess.
  18. Mine had a bunch of stuff marked down and then the next week even further. I was able to load up on terminal tackle, mustad trebles and got some stren fluorocast for leaders. Also a bucoo micro for 23.99. I noticed they now have red label fc and pp slick 8 on the shelves. Nothing else new that I saw though.
  19. Not always the case. I have 2 of the same exact rod made by a company that's pretty well known for making balanced rods. The heavier reel will balance out on the reel seat nut but a lighter reel is a bit in front of the nut.
  20. If you purchase your rod from the fish ranger it comes with a free over the counter warranty. They'll replace it no matter why it breaks. They also have the best price I've found on these rods. I don't have the 725 but I can say with the Powell's I do own, they don't feel overloaded when using them at the top of their lure ratings. Hopefully Teal will chime in and answer the second part of your question more specifically. He owns about a dozen endurance models and I believe he has the 725. You could send him a pm too. He'd be glad to help you out. Very nice guy.
  21. I have a 7:3:1 in lh and I'll be grabbing a 6:3:1 here at some point. I don't have much on the water time with it currently. Mine personally hasn't seen the water. I used a friends for a day. I don't think you can really go wrong with it. With having torn it and a lexa apart it's basically the same reel. Flush the spool bearings and it'll be good to go.
  22. I have one. What are you interested in knowing about it?
  23. Also depends on the rod it's mounted on. A lighter reel isn't always the best in terms of balancing it out.
  24. His jig heads are awesome. I purchased around 80-100 of them and had '2' where the weed guards came out while putting a skirt on. I wasn't concerned about it but Mike gladly shipped me some replacements. The best part is the finish on them. It's always consistent and never messy or in the line tie.
  25. You will need .5 shims to get rid of any wiggle in the knobs. It could take none or it could take 2-3
