I use 1/0 and 2/0 strike king tour grade ones you can buy at Walmart. They have molded plastic over the eye so you don't have to mess with sliding on any rubber tubing.

I wouldn't really consider that a DIY section since it's all based around making lures,baits,rods but thanks for the heads up.

I've never fished a shakey head. I can't stand slow finesse presentations. I won't throw a weightless worm very often because it takes to long to get to the bottom. Even when I fish wacky it's on a weighted jig head.

You could be on to something here. Other then the slow drag/hop or lift/fall methods I don't know how else you'd fish a worm.

At $60 you aren't really going to get a good sensitive rod. At $100 you can get a nice used rod from the flea market or they're are a few good ones in that range. *** *** black and Denali Jadewood are both right at $100

See I've heard this a lot and that's why I bought a bunch. Plus I've never noticed anyone around me fishing them so I figured show them something new and catch more fish. Wrong hahaI always resort back to the stick worms because they catch me fish. I own a handful of different style worms based on info from BR but they don't seem to produce for me.

Yeah see I know nothing about those. Heard of them but that's it. Heck some of them mentioned I haven't though. Small town living stinks when you're a fisherman.

I mainly throw senko style worms but I know there is 100 different styles. I have a bunch of trick worms but honestly never use them because I don't get bit. I have a bps gift card and I'm looking to try some new plastics this season. So if you could give me some new things to look in to that would be great. Obviously senkos aren't the only worms I own or use. I'm just looking for other worms that are good for T rigs mainly.

Made this today with less then $4 in materials minus the pieces of 2x4. I made it to be screwed down to my work bench but until I get it where I want it,it's portable. It's ugly but works. Slide your spool of line on and tighten the wing nut down to the proper tension. Set it on the floor and begin spooling. Feel free to move if it's in the wrong section.

I like them on my handle for sure. It's way more comfortable then the cork ones.

I'm not a fan of the hawgtech cork knobs. They seem very flat and feel funny to me. Your only other option is the shimano knobs. I wish they'd make handles with spindles that accepted daiwa knobs. I'm sure there is a market for it.

The 94mm handle assembly with shimano power knobs only weighs a few grams less then the stock lexa 100 handle.

The 94mm handle fits my Lexa 100 so I'd say it'll fit the 300 model also.

Fluoro has it's advantages. It excels for slack line bite detection and also visibility. I've also tied a leader on after not getting many bites on straight braid and started getting bit 3x more. Sometimes braid is overkill for certain things. I also feel it could just be your knot. I was actually showing a friend the other day how to join braid to a leader. #50 braid and #10 mono then a Palomar to the lure. Hooked it to the spring scale and hit approx. 9lbs before the Palomar broke. Did the same test again using the same piece of line but used an improved clinch to the lure. It broke around 8-8.5lbs. The Alberto never failed though.
