Boxers have some of the greatest expressions ever.

I can't speak on the pro but I've owned multiple tournament pros and bb1xxx models. I'd go with the TP out if those two models.

I just always use the Berkley neoprene gloves you can but at Walmart. There like $12 and the pointer finger and thumb have a slit that folds back so you can tie lures and such.

I picked up a Lowrance mark 5x pro. I think it was like $175 shipped.

You can remove it with pliers/punch/hammer but IT'S NOT ADVISED. You can also make your own pliers. I did this at first but the pins in my 2 Daiwas were freaking in there good. I ended up bending them both. It was more of a test since I had bocas on the way and the hedgehog studio spool pin tool. It's a pricey little tool but if you plan on doing regular maintenance on a few reels it's well worth it.

Very true. I fished for about 6hrs though. Even threw the waders on for a bit but my legs got cold pretty quick.

Tough bite today. Just went from the bank but water was around 50 degrees. Managed 3 on a 1/2oz jig with rage craw trailer. This was the biggest. Went 3.14 on the scale.

I can't tell the difference between chain pickerel and pike. They look the same to me. Either way here in Western Md specifically Deep Creek Lake that's all you catch. It gets annoying when bass fishing. Cranks,spinnerbaits,traps they just can't resist them. Makes for a great day of fishing unless you are trying to find some spots for tournament day.

Sounds like the rod might not be loading up properly. Basically too stiff or not tippy enough. 5/8ths should be plenty of weight but you never know. Do you have a med/hvy rod? Swap reels and throw the same lure and see if that helps your distance. Also you could flush and re oil your bearings. That's never going to hurt anything. As for your C-rig question. It all depends on what weight you're using. I use any where from 1/4-3/4 depending on water depth. Typically it's in the 3/8-1/2oz range.

Buy the best product you can with your budget. I'd spend more on the rod then the reel as it's what let's you feel and catch the fish. The Abu Veritas has gotten good reviews by members and also the *** black. Both can be had for the $100 price tag. Reels you have tons of choices. Shimano okuma pflueger ect ect. Pflueger president and the *** black would make a nice quality combo in my opinion.

I'm going to say this is all pretty much your own doing. If you use something not for it's intended purpose it will fail at some point. I used to fish with Shakespeare excursion rods from Walmart. $15ea maybe $20 but either way used them for years and years heavily. I still have a few also. I keep 1 in my truck and another 2 incase I take a friend fishing. All of them had the cheapest Shimano 2500 sized reel I could buy for them. I think it was a $35-40 reel. Never cleaned and they all still work fine.

Composite shaft is easy to shorten. I took a 60" powerdrive v2 and cut it down to 48". Pull the head off and unhook wires. Find a small piece of PVC at lowes/Home Depot that slides inside the shaft. Measure how much wire sticks out. Mark your shaft with tape. Slip PVC over wires and down in the shaft past your mark. Cut with a hacksaw slowly until through the shaft. Remove PVC and cut off part. Cut desired length off wires to make the same as before. Crimp on new end ends. Drill hole for the head bolt on both sides with PVC skipped down in. Now put it all back together and go fishing.

I don't have a favorite. I've tried a good many companies over the years and have no complaints about any of them. Falcon bucoo,cashion,kistler,***,powell max endurance and diesel, I currently use powell endurance and they're great. I liked my Kistlers too.

When bear-baiting and bull-baiting were deemed inhumane, rat-baiting and dog fighting became more popular. Though I haven't caught any of that size the pickerel in my local lake love the strike back. It gets to the point that it's frustrating when trying to catch bass.

In America, farmers and ranchers used their APBTs for protection, as catch dogs for semi-wild cattle and hogs, to hunt, and to drive livestock. The dog was used during World War I and World War II as a way of delivering messages on the battlefield. However after bull baiting was deemed inhumane they starting using them in pits against rats and that eventually lead to other dogs. So yes it is a part of their origins but that's wasn't the intended purpose in the beginning.

Thank you. Yeah I had friends who had them when I was a kid. I rescued a boxer pit mix and he was great. They truly are great dogs. Very misunderstood due to idiots who own them.

Just wondering if any other members are proud owners of these wonderful dogs. I have a 5yr old female blue named Abby.

I have a few rods with micro guides and have no trouble with a leader passing through them using the modified Albright knot. The only rod that might give me some trouble is my Cashion. Smallest guides I've ever seen used on a rod. It's dedicated for spinnerbaits though so there's no need for a leader.
