If you like them then that's all that matters! Some people have different tastes. Never owned an abu rod nor do I plan on it. A friend bought a Vendetta black max combo and the rod broke a few months later. Then the replacement broke within a month. So now he's on rod 3. He just purchased a Veritas silver max combo last week. So far he likes it. I've heard way too many quality control issues with the Veritas. Either they break and or have crooked guides and cracked epoxy.

You buy a rod that fits the specs of what you'll be throwing. My spinnerbait rod is a 6'9 mh/f that has the specs of 3/8-1oz.

I love my td-z. I upgraded it with a 100m spool,hawgtech handle and boca orange seals.

I use the gammy wicked wacky and the circle hooks with the plastic thing that sits by the barb.

I doubt it has any negative effects but when I store my combos for the winter I back the drag off the whole way and spool tension plus turn all the brakes off.

I don't have a choice. I use 92 from the pump and run stabil in every tank. No issues here.

As already mentioned it's impossible to find one rod to handle everything. Power/action for different things. Same goes for a reel. Brand and model aren't the problem but the ratio/ipt would be.

A 26-28" ipt is fine for square bills which is typically around a 6:3:1 ratio. Deeper diving cranks create a lot of torque and you'll wear yourself out using a reel like above. That's where a designated cranking reel comes in hand. It's a lower ratio/ipt but you won't kill yourself reeling it all day.

So I stumbled across this jdm daiwa reel called the blazon. I can't find anything on it when searching. It reminds me of a lexa so is this the jdm version of the us lexa?

I will second their customer service. I stepped on the butt end of one of mine and tore a nice chunk out of it. I called and they mailed me a new one free of charge. Yes I know it's like a $3 item but it was still nice of them.

I own both rods in question. Though they are of different lengths and powers. I have the bucoo micro 6'10 H they call it a pitchin stick lol. It's overrated. Just compare the lure and line specs to any other mh rod and you'll see they are the same. It's rated the same as my powell 723's. Is it good rod? Yes I like it a lot. Matter of fact I have 2. It's super light and plenty sensitive. Now for the ***. It's a 7'3 H It's a frog rod for me so it doesn't see much all around use. I have used it for other things but the shorter handle makes it perfect for frogs since it doesn't hit my arm when working it. It's 13-3/4 vs 14-1/2 on the Falcon. I would say keep an open mind. The $100-150 rod selection is very large and you can find plenty of great rods. I'm not a Shimano guy at all but have heard great things about the crucial. Have you looked into Powell's at all? If you're buying retail it's only $10 more then the Bucoo. Also plenty of high quality used rods in the flea market or other places. I just added to your confusion but in the end it's all about what feels good to you.

They launch and load the same. I went from a 15ft tin boat to a 19ft glass boat. Honestly the new one is easier to load due to trailer design. Yes it's heavier but it's also more stable and doesn't beat your kidneys to death when running the big motor in rougher water.

I've been fishing with two okuma trio spinning reels for years. I picked up an evx spinning rod on clearance to match with one of them. Great rod so far. I did break the first one but it was my fault for stepping on it. Replaced over the counter and I've been fishing the new one for 6 months. I did have a customer service experience with Okuma. I melted the handle knob on my reel when coming home after night fishing. My fault again but I called them and I was sent a complete handle assembly for free.

Deals are always out there. I picked up a 1987 19ft Monark glass boat with Evinrude 150 for 2k. It was just the boat/trailer and outboard but I've gotten everything for it to make it tournament ready and I'm at 4k now. This is including all new seats,carpet,3 batteries,2 fish finders,24v TM,rebuilding the carbs and vro pump ect ect.

The 2 that I've swapped the bearings out on didn't get hardly any increase from it but I did see a little. Biggest gain was casting effort. I got more distance out of changing the spools but it wasn't cheap.

Really makes no difference to me. I do prefer split grips though. I have cork knobs on my Hawgtech handle and I hate them.
