New Pb
New Pb for me today. T rigged senko pegged with 1/8 tungsten weight. Could see 2 of them swimming back and forth. Caught it about 5ft off the shore in 3ft of water or so. Just let it sit on bottom and wiggled my wrist like a shakey head.

What Is Jdm Or Usdm?
It also goes way beyond the fishing world. In the import car world people are paying outrageous amounts of money for stock parts that can't be had in the USA. Like $600 for headlights for a 93 Honda because they are 1pc instead of 2pc.

Upgrade Help :l
Fluorocarbon is a good line choice. As for rod there are plenty in that range. Fish ranger has Powell's on sale for $109. Normally 169. *** black is around $100-120. The speed spool is ok and so is the mg. Personally I'd step up to the tournament speed spool. Better then both you mentioned. That with either of those 2 rods would be a great combo.

Kvd 1.0 Hook Change
I guess I've been lucky. I have about 40 cranks 1.5 and 2.5 plus some series 5's and have yet to have a hook bend. I've even been hung up so bad I can pull the boat toward the snag and not a single problem. Probably just jinxed myself.

Lews Tp Centrifugal Braking System Issue?
Do as mentioned. I've never had any issues like that with the many Lews reels I use. Their customer service is awesome too.

Daiwa Question
That link takes me to ebays home page. No clue what you're trying to show me.

Daiwa Question
Sounds good. You have the factory knobs still? I don't care for those ball shaped ones. You could keep them if you wanted.
-
Daiwa Question
I understand that but 23ipt is low to me. I'd rather be around 28-31

Daiwa Question
Sounds good sir just let me know.

Daiwa Question
That was my first choice then I saw the td-ito and like the bright color combo and the weight. I agree on the right rod such as a 7'6 H the heavier reel is way better. I prefer it in stouter rods personally.

Lew's Tourney Pro Problems Again... :(
Averagebass123 - At some point you have to just except that it might be you. If 15+ people tell you their settings and have no problems it's time to look into user error. There is no reason to have the mag on 7 and still backlash unless you're throwing into a 25mph wind lol. You've already admitted to adding oil without flushing which to me is your main problem and close behind is user error. Just because you've been fishing a baitcaster for 2yrs means nothing. There is an old saying and it is this... Practice makes permanent. Take golf for example. If your swing is mechanically all wrong it doesn't matter how much you practice. All your doing is training yourself to have a jacked up swing all of the time. Yes you may learn to play golf and possibly be decent at it but you'll have to compromise by aiming way left or ect. You get my drift I hope. This forum along with basically all forums is to learn and ask questions. You're not gaining anything by arguing with people. It makes it less likely they will wanna help you. Just like cars. I've been building them for a long time and when these young kids ask my advice and I give it to them then they go and waste money on parts they don't need and high tech gadgets I learned to just not even say anything because it's like peeing in the wind. Maybe you got a bad reel. It is possibly and we aren't completely counting that out but it seems to be more on your end and not the reels.

Daiwa Question
To be honest I'm not much into finesse fishing. So maybe I should look at the zillion more.

Daiwa Question
Yes, that's the one. I've read that already but thanks for your help. It's an 8yr old reel so I'm just wondering if it's still as great these many years later. Plus the low ipt scares me. That seems more suited for crankbaits not everyday fishing.

Daiwa Question
Looking into purchasing a td-ito 103hl '6:3:1 23" ipt' or a zillion 100shla '7:1:1 30" ipt' I really like the look of the ito can anyone give me some thoughts on it. Looks like a killer reel. The 23" ipt seems low for that gear ratio though.

13 Omen Vs Powell Diesel Vs Veritas Micro
I bought it because my 7'6 diesel had 2 guides broke in shipping. I needed a stout rod for my Tx trip for pitching and frogs. I prefer the diesel still for pitching BUT the *** has became my designated frog rod and for that I absolutely love it. The shorter handle makes it easy to work the rod.

13 Omen Vs Powell Diesel Vs Veritas Micro
I have a 7'3 diesel and 7'6 both are MH. Also have a 7'3 H ***. Prefer my Powell's. *** is nicer to the eye for sure but the Powell feels better. It's hard to compare though since it's a H. That could be it. Fish ranger has higher end Powell's on sale. That'd be the way to go if I were you. Powell endurance for $109 normally $169

Plyers, Multi-Tool, Or What?
Gsx titanium pliers on the boat and kvd split ring pliers on the bank. They have a line cutter and a small plier section plus the split ring tip if you might need it.
