Livingston Lures
Notice the left bead chamber extends to the nose, and in both ends is a slot which it falls into where it is held in place. The rear ones are free to move but when pushed on each other they wedge in which they do on the retrieve.

Livingston Lures
Except you are missing a key point. Any lures with beads in them will sound loud when you shake them but when on a retrieve several lures have beads which change location to aid in the cast and then the dive by moving either towards the back or towards the front. This is evident when you look at lures such as several in the Megabass line, and most plastic saltwater plugs. The weights roll towards the back of the lure to eliminate spin keep the weight right in the wind cutting point, and then fall back into a slot to help the lures get down to aid in consistency. Just because a bait has beads in it in no way shape or form says that it is going to make a noise when on a retrieve. Now back to the Livingston's. Ill take the DM14 for example. There is a large bead right in the nose where the bill connects and two near the rear hook hanger just behind the battery. The one in the nose falls right into a slot while the two near the rear have only very little room to move around . Yes when you shake it in your hand you can hear it very loud, well over the EBS sound. However, on the retrieve these balls do not make much noise at all and this is where the EBS comes in. I will try my best to get a good picture of what I am talking about

2 Or 3 Bank Charger
No. My setup is two 27 series deep cycles strictly for the trolling motor and my Optima dual purpose for everything else. When I say it gets low, I do not mean low enough to the point where it wont start the motor, but still low enough where you want to charge it up so it doesnt kill itself. Several of the closest lakes I fish are electric only and in a 9 or 10 hr day with two fish finders, nav lights, compartment lights, livewells, and a Talon it can take a toll on it.

2 Or 3 Bank Charger
Ive always had one bank per battery in the boat. If I run on an electric only lake all day, my cranking battery will be low and that is definitely not the one you want going on you

9.0:1 Really Needed
If you have thinking like this you shouldnt be bass fishing. Name one thing in our sport that ISN'T overkill for the green and bronze fish. 250hp motors, 80 mph, 10 gagillion bait colors, ridicuouls japanese prices and swimbaits and more rod, reel, line choices than you can even fit on a single website. Yet we all love it for that reason

Livingston Lures
Most of the rattles will fall back on the retrieve and dull down considerably. The EBS magnifies greatly under water. Standard physics shows that sound travels much better through liquids than gases and it is the case here as well. While I have not done any recording, I have had them in both swimming pools as well as in fish tanks and the noise is considerably louder than one would think.

Shame On Bassmaster Tv
I have three clubs within 15 minutes of me. Was about to join the closest one when I started really looking into them. Turned out their schedules for the past 3 years were all exactly the same with the majority on the waterways that the state and national tournaments were held on. After talking to a few of them I got the very distinct impression that all they cared about was their affiliation with FLW, nothing about the club. Ended up joining a club an hour away that fishes all over the north east, great guys who all bust on each other and still gives me the same opportunities. Good sticks in this one too.

Tournament Decoys And Other Dirty Tricks
I had one buddy tournament where everybody was doing terrible. 6 fish limit and the winning weight was 4 fish for like 9 pounds. Half an hour from the weigh in I passed another boat of a guy I knew who also said he was doing awful, went just out of sight around the bend, splashed the water a ton and they started screaming GAME CHANGER! He came up to me at the weighin with no fish and asked to see what I had caught.. My bag had one tiny keeper I caught in the first 15 minutes . He did say it really killed their moral haha

Bassmaster C'mon Man
Funny story about that. When I bought my boat in Harrisburg I wrote the check for 8500, but had only written 8 thousand written out on the line. It was a 2 hour drive and when the lady went to cash the check (her husband had passed) they would only give her the 8000. Talk about getting a quick phone call.

Rain Protection
I had a pair of Frogg Toggz. Worked great when you are standing there. The second you try to run from spot to spot the seams leak like a sieve. Ended up finding the Cabelas Bass Angler Guidewear on clearance for $250 for the set with all taped seams, perfect fit, and warranty to boot and this entire year I have yet to get cold or wet with it. I would buy a quality rain suit over a new rod and reel any day. Rods and reels are useless if you are shaking and freezing

New Dropshot Rod? (Leaning Towards St. Croix)
I correct myself from my previous post. The rod I use is a 6'10" MLXF not MLF

New Dropshot Rod? (Leaning Towards St. Croix)
Ive thrown the dropshot on several rods, from the Mojos to the top ends in all types of scenarios. That being said, I ended up getting a St. Croix Legend Xtreme 6'10" ML Fast with a Pflueger Patriarch 30 size with 10lb braid and run a 6lb fluoro leader. Have never fished anything better. Awesome tip to finesse baits while it has the backbone to really handle some deep fish. I didn't spare any expense and couldn't be happier with it.

Bassboatseats.com?
Surprisingly not. It was a three piece seat with the back as one piece held on by brackets on either side with just screws. The bench was two pieces held on with rivets which I drilled out and they popped right off. The new ones have the backs which are held on by 4 screws on a plastic heavy duty bracket with the bottoms having a hinge. Hardest part was lining up right where I wanted them. Took about 2 hours total.

What Setup Was Your First Bass Of 2014 Caught On?
RC Stx jerkbait in ghost pearl.. Thats the only thing they will eat yet. Was out yesterday, water temp was a mere 38 degrees and ended with 4 bass, 5 HUGE 16" shad and a perch I snagged right up it's backside

Bassboatseats.com?
I ordered a pair of bucket seats from them and was extremely impressed with the quality. Very comfortable to sit in yet firm with a heavy duty vinyl cover. Heres a before and after

Inexpensive, Easy Diy Paddle Leash I Made
Another even cheaper option is to use the highest test mono you can get (around 150lb) a dow rod, and a bucket of hot water. Wrap the mono around the dow so all the wraps are touching each other for as long as you want the leash to be, tape it on the ends and put it in the bucket. After 10 minutes take it out and voila perfect coil and you can put whatever you want on the ends.

Why Do We Fish Regardless Of Whether We Are Successful Or Not?
Its a game I know nobody can ever score a perfect game on but I want to get as close as possible

Talon 10' ? 12' ?
Not sure if you know this already or not but the bracket is completely adjustable. That being said, as Chief 2 stated above, they recommend 4" above the bottom of the hull to help eliminate the wash from hitting it and causing spray while giving you maximum depth so it will really depend on the boat it is put on

Fishing With Gators???!!!
I live in PA, have seen gators before down in Orlando so they werent foreign to me but last year I went down to Okeechobee for 3 days in March and thought it was really neat to fish with them. Several spots I saw 15-17ft gators. Absolutely massive, longer than your car and my guide even said there were more large ones out than he has seen in a long time. That said, they didnt bother me at all. Was actually really cool to fish in an ecosystem different than up north and they left me alone completely. Even went around and walked on the docks at the marina and was standing 4 ft from them taking pictures (I was on the dock they were in the water)

Trailer Spindle/axle Help
Thats what I thought. Thanks

Trailer Spindle/axle Help
isnt that part of the bearing itself? To give you insight as to where my questions are coming from I have the EZ lube spindles on my axle where you pull the hub off and its a clean spindle. In the hub there are the outer races and the bearings. That is it and they slide right onto the spindles with the seals touching the spindle

St Croix Legend Teaser Rod/ Pfleuger Summit Reel?
I use mine for a lot of stuff (newer split grip, not the newest line but the one before that). It can handle a lot, but I particularly like it for throwing lighter jigs and even heavier jigs when I am just dragging it. It's sensitivity is very very good and can detect slight bites. Light solid and hollowbody swimbaits, lipless cranks, squarebills and medium divers, top waters and worm fishing are just a few of the things I can do with it and it does it well. It has a great tip to it but a very solid backbone which really helps in keeping the fish hooked. For reference I have it paired with a Curado 200E7 with 12lb fluoro
