Abu Garcia Veritas
That is the only Veritas I own, the 7'3". I bought it for 34.99 I think it was 3 seasons ago. It is a very versatile stick! and definitely feel more on the heavy power side. I was thinking about grabbing one or two them when they were clearanced at 59.99 at the end of the year. Makes me wish I did. I love the versatility of the rod/length.

I'd Love To Hear From The Peanut Gallery!
Definitely will work fine! The only advice I can give you is go in a store and check the rod/reel out to see if you like it. In fact I'm sure a store would let you place the reel on the rod to check how it feel.

Have You Caught A Double Digit Bass?
No not yet, but I'm planning a Florida trip in early Spring. I hope to break my PB at least. Would be nice a double digit PB!

Winter Sucks
There is always accidental catches when I go for perch, crappies and pike. The rule is you need to quickly and safely release the bass. You aren't allowed to take pictures either, no weighing either you must promptly release.

Shimano Rod Warranty - Update To Program
Shimano has always stood behind the quality of all our products and with that in mind we are adding two Rod Service programs to use in addition to the 1 Year Limited Warranty. The two additional programs are simple and straight forward. They are: • 30 Day Guarantee – Protection against initial failure • Shimano Express Service Plan – A one-time safeguard against accidental breakage at a discounted price 30 Day Guarantee • Consumers will be required to have a valid receipt as stated on the 1 Year Limited Warranty and with the 30 day Guarantee. It is important that we remind consumers to hold on to their receipt to ensure their warranty will be valid. (We will accept a variety of receipt options including photos from a smartphone) Shimano Express • The Shimano Express Service is a one-time opportunity for the consumer to replace a rod that was broken under non-warranty circumstances. This option will allow customers to receive a new rod at 50% off MSRP • The Shimano Express Service will cover rods that were sold prior to the warranty change and had a limited lifetime warranty, including discontinued models. A list of rod models is on our website. Overall • There is no change to the Shimano 1 Year Limited Warranty. The two new programs are Rod Service options that Shimano is providing for consumers and dealers (should a dealer elect to handle this for their customer) • Both service options provide express two day shipping and no hidden fees • Dealers can elect to play a role in these Rod Service programs or instruct the consumer to contact Shimano directly • The Rod Service programs will roll out officially February 11, 2015 on the Shimano web site and will be active immediately • Both Rod Service options will require the dealer or the consumer to call Shimano directly for evaluation of the best option in getting you back on the water as cost effectively and quickly as possible

Definitely Fast action.

Finesse Worm Setup
Yes, use what you got. You're current setup is sufficient to do what you're asking. Senkos like others have stated I use a MH/F casting rod. M/F is fine for the rest.

Help Choosing A Spinning Rod
This is what I was going to say. Especially since you own Fenwick's already.
-
Bps Carbonlite Rods
Yes seriously. St. Croix rods are tip heavy, this doesn't mean they suck. I use to own St. Croix rods, but I also found they were too stiff for my liking. The latter was my biggest factor I didn't like them. Other than that, they performed well and are sensitive rods starting at the Avid line. I still own one Avid (6'6" M/F). Great all around rod and the best jerkbait rod I've ever used. I just bought two Carbonlites last week after thinking about getting them for a long time. They definitely balance better and the 6'6" M/F is super light. I tried a Chronarch 50 E and balanced near perfect, I put a PQ on and it was still good. Definitely less tip heavy. True test is fishing them though, ice up here though.
