  1. I love my Stradics, but having said that I'd settle with using a Symetre. I like them both! Even though I definitely can feel the difference when I fish them. (Comfort and smoothness) I haven't pulled a trigger on a President yet, but with all the rave on BR I might. My next rod will be a spinning rod, I need another ML so a President might be just the ticket.
  2. It is forecasting above freezing temperatures late next week too! Ya'll stop being such a negative Nancy. More positive thoughts please.
  3. Results in this for you Hootie.
  4. I can't comment on the other reels aside from the PQ. Honestly I wouldn't call a PQ a downgrade. I own both the Lexa and PQ, I actually favor the PQ more. The Lexa is a fine reel though. Either one you'd win imo.
  5. i guess it wasnt clear. Those are my five words. Relates to everything... Tackle, rods, reels, time for bass fishing, etc.
  6. I do not have enough.
  7. BPS ones work just fine. I prefer Rod Glove though.
  8. similiar story, my daughter learned the ds technique with her spincast setup. She was 8. She beat me too and promptly retired.
  9. Well everyone has the right to express their own opinion. That to is not even close for me.
  10. That was my first impression when I held both of them two days ago. The Zodias rod felt better in store. I'll even call it a Crucial killer and dare to even say the Zodias if it fishes just as good as it feels then I think it would kill the Cumara. As for the build on the E6X rod, the 6 I looked at didn't have issues with quality. If I was going to buy one, I wouldn't have hesitated because of the build.
  11. Thanks guys for the suggestions time to grab some!
  12. Good start to me. I'd second a heavier rod that doubles as a Frog Rod and Pitching/Flipping/Punch.
  13. Congrats Andy! Let us know how it is!
  14. I just sold mine for 80 to a buddy's friend today. Sad to see it go, but I want to get a JDM reel now.
  15. I'll give myself an A for meeting my goal for learning/using more crankbaits in catching fish. I'll give myself an C though for the overall year because I didn't catch many big'uns. Last year I caught a lot of dinks 1lb. This year I am challenging myself to break out of the comfort zones (bodies of water, fish more bodies of water) and to catch bigger ones more consistent. The year before I was more consistent in catching 2-3 lbers and set my PB 5lb LMB and 4lb Smallmouth.
  16. Not sure about the 2.0, but the 1.0 MH/F 7'3" very versatile stick. It is multi-purpose written all over it. My back up plastics, jigs, frogging, pitching, spinnerbait..it does it all well. In fact it is the only Veritas I own and it is regularly used. I wouldn't mind grabbing 1 or 2 more either.
  17. Ah, fishing for strippers. That was like 20 years ago, the last time I did that.
  18. This is my feeling. I fished it and it was a dead stick, unless Dobyns figured something out...I am not holding my breath. Although Dobyns definitely could've figured something out and we have a new contender. Which would be a win for all anglers. This would mean the Savvy series probably is in the running to get replaced soon as who would want one if the Fury was that much better.
  19. No but it's getting some excitement. I'm trying to take my dip into customs (making my own rods from now on) but all these new rods (E6X, Zodias) are making it difficult not to pick one of them up.
  20. Shimano Sellus for me, you can find for 50.
