  4. im in. my backseat is taken. looking forward to it.
  5. i voted for lee road, but i am flexible. i live closer to lox road, but i thought the northern guys would be more interested if it was a t lee road. i may have a back seat available but i won't know until the day gets closer.
  6. thanks ht10. those are as expensive as the delongs. i make my own, but they are very crude. down here, big worms are for real.
  7. well said snook. i love the heat. it keeps a lot of people home.
  8. fished the rest area tonight from 3 til dark and caught a mess of fish. 20+ pounds five biggest. big worms and giggy caught most, but the bigger fish came on big worms. 5.5 biggest fish. fun session.

does anyone here or know someone who makes 16" worms? the ones like the delongs. thanks in advance.
  10. we did have the tm strapped. after the lift assist part broke, we used rope to secure it as we ran. that lake can get nasty in a second. the seven mile ditch was blocked by a 30 yard wide floating island. we thought about blasting through it, but it was too thick. in the rim ditch about 2 miles south of the sportsman channel, there was barricade across the entire ditch. don't know why, but it sucked turning around and running the lake.
  11. now that's funny kenny.
  12. fished my club tourny yesterday out of clewiston and went north. fished cochrans and caught a dozen 11 inchers. went to the monkey box and caught first keeper at 3:30. a bunch of dinks for the next hour. we split, took the seven mile ditch and it was blown shut. turned around and went to sportsman channel, made it to the rim ditch, head south only to find a barrier just north of moore haven saying no boats. turned around and ran the lake back. got pounded, soaked, broken wishbone part of the lift assist on my partners trolling motor. made it to cochrans at 6. it started bucketing rain until 6:20. as soon as the rain came, so did the bite. instantly put 5 two pounders in the boat. i was throwing a trap and my partner was throwin the dipper. picked up my spro frog and caught a 6.13. after putting that fish in the well, my partner caught a fat 3 pounder. caught at least 50 fish from 6:20 to seven. left at seven and made it to clewiston at 7:25. weighed in 15.79. came in second with big fish. first place was 21 and change.
  13. i'm down with that.
  14. WOW!!! gar tracker stroked them. i didn't realize he fished the same tourny. the lake is definitely hot. i have a tourny saturday out of clewiston.
  15. nice job cowgirl. i saw a fella who had 18 pounds and he was fishing the same tourny as you. what was the winning weight?
  16. bobby i'll see you and kenny at the weigh in. we'll have have a cold one while celebrating me and mikes victory.
  17. i was on the lake yesterday and caught around 30 fish. there were 3 of us on my boat. started out near ritta and caught a couple. went to turners cove and caught some small ones. ended up at the monkey box and caught our biggest fish there--a five pounder. took the seven mile ditch back to the rim canal and headed back towards slims and got caught in the heaviest rain/lightning storm ever. i never prayed so many times in one day in my life. lightning was popping everywhere. made it back to slims soaked and safe.
  18. dave take a wire brush and brush the conectors. i use a dremel and clean off the corrosion. that might work.
  19. a fifty to sixty pound tarpon on a lucky craft pointer. thank god for braided line and sneakers. i had to literally run after the fish as he was about to spool me. when i finally beached the fish, about a dozen people came out of their condos and told me they watched me fight the fish. it was great seeing that fish swim away.
  20. try ficus berries. during the summer here those trees berry up and start dropping into the water and the carp are all over them as soon as they hit. it is a fun bite when nothin else is.
  21. cowgirl, where are y'all launching from?
  22. we had our club tourny at lake o on saturday. being that it is summer we choose to only have a 3 fish limit and we changed our times from safe light to 3 to 10 to 7. my partner and i went north and crushed them. we caught over 100 fish and ended the day with a 3 fish weight of 13.39. we had a 6, 4, and a 3 pounder. we thought we had a good shot of winning, but another team came in with a whopping 17.79 pounds, 3 fish. they had a 7, 6, and a 4. we ended up in second. every fish we caught was on a lipless crank. there were at least 20 boats that were either in the same area or came and left, and every one of them were pitching or using a slow presentation. i still can't believe that nobody swithed over to a lipless, because all of thse boats saw my partner and i whackin 'em. lucky for us i guess. most of the fish were caught on the outside grass lines. the bigger ones were caught in wind blown entrances. the lake is hot!
  23. i can go june 14-18, 23-25, 28-3, july 1-30. these dates are monday thru friday. i would prefer the weekdays. weekends are kinda crowded. we can meet at the lee road ramp because half the guys are way south and the other half are up north. just a suggestion. we can also meet later in the afternoon like 1ish, 2ish even 3ish. i don't know what kinda schedule y'all have. im flexible. i can bring a friend with me or someone can ride with me. let me know what you guys think.
  24. Mini South Florida Roadtrip? im down. 8-) Me 3x, may have backseat available for other BR member or we can flip a coin to see who is boater amongst the BR clan ;D, I live up in Gardens, so I usually take off from the Southern Blvd. ramp, weekdays are best for me. If we all pitch in we can have a mini catch and release tournament with some prizes (i.e. BPS or Gander Mountain Gift Cards), bocabasser gets a handicap though, cause he is off school and out there too often not fair. the bigger fish are getting harder to come by. i am going tomorrow around 10ish until dark. i am thinking about putting in at lee road. we should start throwing out dates so we can get as many br members as possible. i have an open back seat if anyone wants to fish with me when we meet.
  25. alley has tons of fish as does the park. find the deepest ledges you can and use the biggest worm you can. that method has been catchin a lot of fish and winning lots of cash. the trick is finding the ledges that have the bigger fish.
