  1. i was out sunday morning from sun up til 10. caught around a dozen and most were small. lost a nice one on a popper in the thick grass in front of a flats entrance. big fish was 3 pounds. very hot and no wind. last week of school for me so i wll be spending lots of time out there. we should have a little br outing one day this summer.
  2. i was there sunday and caught a bunch of little ones. lipless crank was gettin me numbers but no size. check your pm.
  3. right on lee. let me know when you are on the lake. i will be on summer break until august. maybe we could meet up.
  4. lee, rolands is a nice place to stay and the tiki bar is right there. clean, close to lots of area. it does not have that camp mack feel, but its the nicest on the lake imo. when are yall coming down?
  5. you can either go to holiday park or put in at any ramp along 75. the alley still has tons of fish. i would put in at the turnaround (rest area) and fish west. the water is dropping, so spooks, big worms, and flip to get the better fish. you shouldn't have to go too far to get into some fish. good luck.
  6. fished the lake yesterday and caught over 100 fish. put in at belle glade at 8 and pulled out at 8. longest day on that lake for me. got caught in a brutal storm in the monkey box for about an hour. caught fish everywhere, but north is the ticket. there was a nasty green funk at pelican, longpoint and ritta. if iwere to fish south, i would go further back from the outside line and find those pockets where the water is cleaner. caught a 3 pounder swimmin a big easy. didn't like the water so we left. i am not sure what it is called (bay bottom?), but it is the area between long point and ritta. caught a mess of small ones on the outside line. had lunch at rolands and headed north. fished that eel grass just north of uncle joes and whacked em on a lipless. rippin it through the grass. biggest 3 pounds. tried carolina rig, dippers, big easy and it was slow. fished outside of cochrans and caught a couple of small ones. lots of gulping mullet. went to monkey box and instantly started catching them. spinnerbait, big esy, dipper. there was a storm coming and we could not out run it, so we geared up and took it. sounded like a tornado/train coming right at you. amazing! at 5 we chose to leave and take the lake. we got worked. just outside that spot where we crushed them on a trap, we saw tons of shad just being lit up. we stopped and worked that area and got one 2 pounder. drifted closer and all of the sudden it was on! for the next hour we caught easily 50 fish. everything worked. dippers, hornys, speed worms. it was crazy. biggest fish was close to 5, but we caught 2-3 pounders what seemed to be every cast. left there at 745 and made it back to slims just at dark. great day.
  7. my friends club had a tourney there last weekend and 21 pounds won, 18 second, 13 third. i couldn't fish it, because i had the cystic fibrosis walk that day. check your pm.
  8. fished today and caught about 15 fish. had the wife and kids so i didn't fish hard. the water has dropped at lox. i tried out west, and got a few but that bite is slowing down tremendously. i found all of my fish on the east side in the canal, about 2-4 miles north of the highschool. spooks and flippin gettin 'em.
  9. anyone have any info on blue cypess lake? i have my meeting tomorrow and a couple of guys were talking about going there. according to middletons, they are crushhing huge numbers with some toads mixed in. we would be going in july. if anyone has stayed at middletons or anywhere close to there please advise about the accomodations. thanks in advance.
  10. same here. an fwc officer was at our meeting a month ago and said our input is crucial for future decisions. i highly encourage all floridians to please complete this survey.
  11. i am going to replace the cartridge on one of my livewell pumps. i currently have a 750gph pump and i was considering gong to a 1000gph pump. other than adding an extra amp, what are the pros and cons of upgrading? thanks in advance.
  12. agreed. this is not the first time either. this guy has a problem (obviously), and after the nfl did their own investigation they deemed it necessary to suspend him for 6 games. i wonder if that guy who wrote the article that burley linked would feel the same way if it were his daughter? i think not.
  13. i have had success swimming jigs in the glades when i swim them through the pads. i use a 1/4 oz. jig with a paca chunk sr. and at times it can be deadly.
  14. as did i. dang it
  15. i just started throwing them. i like what i have caught so far. the only thing that i don't like is you have to use a weighted hook. at first i thought it would be very difficult to pull me away from the dipper, but after a couple of pigs over 5 pounds i am slowly being convinced. i look at it as another tool in my tool box. plus the factory is only 10 minutes from my house and 2 of gamblers employees are in my club, so they hook us up with bulk for very cheap.
  16. right on kenny. i believe you are considering buying my friends triton. i think you are the kenny he is refering to. anyway, mike is a great guy and i can say matter of factly that his triton is in perfect condition, and as you know it is loaded. if you do buy it, you are getting a great boat. hope to see you at lox one of these days. i believe mike fished tonight out there. anyway, if you see a white and blue ranger, stop by and say hey. later. bruce
  17. fished from 6:45 til 10:30 and caught around 25 fish. most were small 1-2 pounds. i lost a 4 pounder at the boat and had a monster blowup on my swimbait. i did mange to get this 6.8 beauty in the boat though. drizzly rain and overcast. home by 11, so it was a great morning.
  18. going to lox tomorrow morning. come on out and catch some. they are still whacking dippers. sun up to about noon.
  19. black blue senkos, white spinnerbait, scrounger and 12 inch worms.
  20. i am no dr. phil, but it sounds like you are a little scorned.
  21. 4th. laid an egg on saturday and only weighed in 2 fish. our club only has a 3 fish limit when we fish istokpoga because a couple guys fish alone and the catch limit is different on that lake even with permits. we were in dead last place on saturday, but yesterday we stroked them and finished with the biggest sack of the day. all of our fish were caught on the southeast corner in the hydrilla fron the lone cypress tree north to the istokpoga canal.
  22. stunning photos. congratulations.
  23. i am considering getting one robert. i won't get an iphone because they are not waterproof (yes i know you can get a case). i have a macbook pro and i love it. the ipad would be nice for travel, internet access etc. i would prefer the itouch, but the internet only works in wifi areas. i have seen them and my friends seem to love theirs (so far).
  24. i have a 2 day this weekend and i am not pre-fishing. has anyone been to "poga" lately? i have my normal spots, but if anyone has done some recon, any help would be great. thanks in advance.
