  1. doug my friend just facebooked me last night and told me that the tourny he fishes is for fire fighters. they usually launch out of clewiston, but he said they switch areas to accomodate the northern fire fighters. are teachers considered first responders?
  2. go to pelican bay. start on the inside and work your way out. i went there on thursday and caught 2 nice 4 pounders first thing in the morning. we heard some huge explosions all around us. i fished cochrans and the shoal on saturday and just couldn't get a big bite. 3 teams in my club fished there as well and 2 of them had 16+ pounds. in hindsite i should have fished pelican on saturday, but with my boat i have to make a choice and committ to it. good luck kevin.

absolutely thet eat baby gators. check out the nat geo movie called everglades:secrets of the swamp. they show a huge bass eat a baby gator. they also show a tarpon eating one. that bait you made looks insane. if you need someone to demo it, i am your man. i fish the glades at least 3 times a week. does it float?
  4. 3 words -competitive, peaceful, fun 3 favorite baits -frogs, spook, big worm favorite colors -junebug, watermelonseed, black/blue how often do i buy -when i am in need of something visit sites -regularly what would i like to see in a site -fewer titles (like "been posting a long time" when a guy just posts continually to rack up posts) when do they fish?

invest in a good set of gore tex. they are expensive, but worth every penny.
  6. one of the cheesiest action movies ever--"i'm gonna get you sucka". jm brown and his bunyon are hilarious
  7. either a senko or a scrounger
  8. fished lox today from 6:30 to 1. caught around 20 fish with 3 pounds being the biggest. all of my fish came in front of the spillways that were moving water. c-rigged a senko. it was brutal hot with very little wind. tried to get to my area on the flats but a lot of junk was blocking my way and i did not feel like bulldozing. i am going to go back on wednesday.
  9. killer band. low is a good one. saw them in concert at a small bar in palm beach. they went off!
  10. right on piscicidal. i am going tomorrow to redeem myself from yesterdays tourny. i love lox and love that it is in my(our) backyard. looks like you fished close to the rock berm side. that big one came on a horny--i love when they smash topwater. i am glad you guys caught em up.
  11. i fished the same spots and came up with 13.72 pounds. 3 teams had 16+ pounds with a 5 pounder as big fish. the bite was slow but was really turning on at around 2ish--weigh in was at 3. i hate when you find them and 2 days later the same size fish just aren't their. i guess that's fishin. had fun though--loxahatchee tomorrow.
  12. i have a fire fighter friend who fishes one annually. i will ask if this is the same gig.
  13. is red hot right now. caught 20 pounds today easily. i will tell you where on saturday night after my tourny. every spot i went to i crushed them. i hope it holds for saturday.
  14. what i would do to have your highs as our lows. it has been roasting here in florida. i am with the other guys #2 is where i would fish.
  15. try a carolina rog with the lightest line you are confident with. i would use a gambler ace or fluke on the c-rig. if you guys are starting at safe light, use a prop bait, popper, or spook. there are some big fish in that lake. when is your tourny? good luck and let us know how you do.
  16. don't ever sweat the haters. they are gonna hate no matter what. if your baits are half as good as your megastrike, they will sell and sell well. good luck to you and i for one can't wait to see your line.
  17. i fish the everglades a lot. all of my favorite spots have gar--big gar and lots of them. after a while you know what a gar feels like and you DON'T SET THE HOOK. sure a couple of times they will tear a tail of of your soft plastic, but generally there are bas where the gar are. i have caught many bass over 5 pounds in areas that seem over run by garfish. it is just part of the game down here.
  18. thanks guys. i am going up tomorrow to pre-fish. doug--i know. i am gonna sweat a lot. i jump in at least 5 times throughout the day. it cools me off. i am going to start at the shoal and see what i can muster. i will then head back south and work coots bay and if i have to, i will shoot over to pelican. the lake is real good right now and some guys in my club are on some big stuff. i just hope i can hang with them. i will let ya'll know how i do.
  19. yea you are right. god forbid you have to: -have a gun registered - get finger printed - have a drivers license to access a gun - supply your ss # - submit a physical & mental examination if you were to fire your gun and harm someone and this is the real zinger: -have the gun locked and inaccessible to any child under 18 the nerve of the president to try and keep guns away from people who shouldn't have one to begin with.
  20. i agree. i have gotten every shipment before the estimated arrival time. no other fishing supply store can touch tw.
  21. anyone fished lake O recently? i have a tourny saturday and a couple guys in my club are on some big fish. i have my normal spots, but any other input would be greatly appreciated. we are launching out of clewiston.
