Punching Rod - What Tip?
Perhaps I should have been more specific. I was trying to reference this guide http://bassnastyfishing.com/2012/10/07/punch-hoggin-with-bass-nasty-fishing-rod-guide/ He does have a long write up on duckett as this was what was the duckett company philosophy. However, also has pictures as well as other company write ups as well specifically alx and WM

Punching Rod - What Tip?

Dobyns Arsenal Help
. Blessing my be abit much lol. My only suggestion might putting braid on the 735 so you can use it for frogs or in heavier weeds. You can always use a leader. I just prefer to have at least one rod with braid. As has been said, the 734 is going to be a do it all rod so having two of them is a great idea. I have four of the 4 power rods just because they can do so much

9.0:1 Really Needed
I believe the revo rocket has A 95mm handle.

Frog Setup
Ha! I put my pointer finger around the front of the reel. The brake jutting out was annoying

Frog Setup
I like of better than the tatula because of how I palm a reel. It's smaller and the hood actually makes a great flipping switch. As for pitching and casting, it is awesome. The 3d braking system really helps.

Frog Setup
1. Heavy pads will get my new DX 746 with a Zillion Type R and 65 PP. This rod will double for punching which i wanted sensitivity for otherwise I wouldn't spend that much on a frog rod. 2. Open water and buzzing frogs go on the DX 704 and a t3 with 40lb. Again, this rod doubles for trigs and jigs so the dx get sensitivity

Dobyns Rod Help
I would say the 704 or 734. Those rods can do almost everything

Berkley Nanofi Uni-Filament Fishing Line
I must have gotten a lucky spool because I used the 8lb line with no problems whatsoever. It held a leader knot well and was sensitive as can be. Honestly I never used it around rocks but did use it in weeds and wood with no issues.

Aftermarket Cork Handle Knobs For Casting Reels?
I believe Daiwa handles fit lews. You could buy a daiwa handle, put cork knobs on that and then put it in your lews reel

Is 12Lb Trilene Xl The Best Bc Line Ever?
Suffix elite is what I use now. Best mono I have ever used.

Dobyns Or G. Loomis?
Though I don't own a loomis I will say that the first and most noticeable difference to me is the reel seat. Acs vs Ecs. If you dislike one or the other then take it into consideration Also, Ron at valley sports had dobyns rods and gives quite a deal especially when buying nutlike rods. So that is another factor as well.

How Is The Booyah Pad Crasher Frog
My favorite frog. I could more fish on the brown color this year than any other frog I have ever used. I had to buy four of them because I caught so many fish they tore them up. Not only did they eat them, they DESTROYED them. I only have 2 koppers left for when the matts are so heavy that the booyah won't make an indent on them. When the matts are very thick, I need something with more weight to it. If booyah ever releases a larger version, I will switch over to them completely.

Which Company Does It Best
Though it is objective, certain companies I feel do hit a lot closer than others. I would say that from what I have used, Dobyns, powell, quantum and *** seem to be the most on point with their ratings.

Do You Shakeyhead On Spinning Or Bc
It depends on how deep and how big a bait a plastic you are gonna throw. People really like the Biffle hard heads though those are not set jigheads. I really like the Picasso Shake-E football jig. It has a screw in lock and a straight shank which I prefer. Yum also make something called the Shake-e-ed (named after Edwin Evers) which have been discontinued since he went to megabass. I was lucky enough to score some on clearance. They work anyplace you would throw a football jig or c rig. A lot of fish by me haven't seen this presentation but I love them and usually use an 8-10inch worm and heavy gear.

Do You Shakeyhead On Spinning Or Bc
I throw shakeyhead a on a dx702c with a pixzilla. First reason is that I only own one spinning setup anymore and it is the dx702s. However, the spinning 702 is noticeably softer than the casting version so it gets used for drop shot and small wacky senkos (3inch). I prefer casting rods and the 702c and pixzilla can really wing those lures out there. However, the cost of tuning a pixzilla far outweighs the benefit for most people as is it simply cheaper and easier to use a spinning setup. If you watch MLF, Bobby Lane was using a veritas and MGX for shakey heads and was doing pretty well however I don't know what size line he was using. Magnum shakey heads are amazing. dont think you can't use a 10 inch worm on a 1/2 football shakey head as they are dynamite

How Many Rods Do You Carry
I usually carry 4 on the bank and 6 when in the back of the boat as a co-angler. That being said I own 13 rods and reels lol
-
W And M Brent Chapman Insight Pro Advantage Rod
I wonder if it's a dicks exclusive. All google results come up on the dicks website
-
Bassmaster Elite Series
Doubling up the sponsors in the title yet cutting the payback to the Anglers....interesting
-
Abu Villain
That is the understatement lol. Abu rods are the stiffest I have come into contact with. The only one that gave it a run for the was the mojo slop n frog rod. If the villains are like the veritas, you're rod might be almost 2 powers heavier lol

Favorite Lipless Crankbaits
Xcalibur's have amazing finishes and just catch em. Red eye shads are pretty solid as well

Xcaliber Is Bomber?
I always love reading threads like this. It's fun to just see the creation, absorption and evolution of a particular line of something. It's nuts to see how stuff changes over time lol
