  1. Update on my order from fishingtackleoutlet.com. I received it today and it was a mess. I got doubles of some stuff and none of a couple others that I ordered. I ordered a TON of stuff so it may have been lost in the shuffle of trying to fill the order.I sent them a email and am curious as to how they will handle it. I am not saying DON'T order from them, all I am saying is be sure to check your invoice against what was received.
  2. I have fished inexpensive rods and high end rods. There is a difference I believe in the feel and the action of the rod.I buy middle of the road 80-100 combos that I find on sale. However, I can't think a bass can tell between a original Senko and a spin off.
  3. Oops my fault! I will know next time. Sorry.
  4. I am trying to become a more diverse fisherman. I am putting away my mainstay confidence baits like a senko and white spinnerbait. I know I can catch fish on either of those in a pinch. I have been doing some research on the chatterbaits. I personally have never fished them, I know a lot of guys do. Is it worth investing $100 to build a box of them? What is your honest opinion of them? What colors produce the best for you? Thanks!!
  5. I appreciate your post I too am looking I want the best for under $600
  6. Fishingtackleoutlet is where I buy all mine.
  7. In our area early spring means the lakes are FULL! I look for rocky/rip rap areas with some cover (brush) 3-8 feet of water. I primarily focus my presentation on the sunny side of the brush. The area must be near some deep water. I feel the fish move up there during the day to sun in the warmer water then move back out once the sun is not high in the sky. Best bite is between 11 am and 3 pm. Naturally the east and north ends of the lake are going to get the most afternoon sun. Slow fish a weightless senko. That's what I would be doing
  8. I cant tell ya... I traded mine for a bass boat. Best trade I ever made.
  9. That Red/brown jig in the picture is super sexy. Thanks for the link I will be ordering soon!

  14. Thanks for all the replies! keep them coming! I finished my boat yesterday now I am putting it together, with all new batteries I still need a good fish finder and figure out a way to mount my motor toter.( I have a roller trailer), I did look at those under lid systems. They look like they are worth the money.
  15. I recently bought my first bass boat to start fushing tournaments.( 92 Ranger w 150 merc) I was curious as what you guys do specifically to taylor make you boat to be the most efficient. I fish a lot of plastics so I am going with many Tupperware type boxes that are labeled. Also need to pick up a golden rule, some marking bouys stuff like that. Help me make a list of what's in your boat. thanks!!

  19. I am trying to decide if I should install a main power switch in my boat. Would I be better off with a mechanical "break" type switch in the battery compartment or a electrical switch up on the console. Also which battery (ies) do you run all of your accessories off of? Thanks
  20. Throw a white spinnerbait and cover ground...
  21. I have a Garmin 160 and a Hummingbird D4000 (I believe) both will turn on but wont stay running. What has been your experiences sending these units back to their respective companies? Do they fix 10 year old units? or should I just trash them? Thanks
  22. Twice. First time I was about 12, we were catfishing on the Iowa river with chicken liver. I had to cast left sidarm under this limb and caught myself in the left earlobe. I felt the hit and followed the line my ear lobe to a big wad of warm stinkin chicken liver. I effin FREAKED! The older guy I was with had to push it thru and cut it off. HURT LIKE HELL!! Second time was about 10 years ago. A buddy and I were both in the front of the boat. We were casting 1/2 jig and craws. He would leave the jig about 18" from his rod tip. He winged it and stuck it had right in my shoulder blade. Ofcourse he did what any good friend would do and laughed his ass off about it. I yelled at him "yank it out before I get feeling back". He yanked it and out came about a dime size hunk of meat. We continued to fish. Third time... lets hope it doesn't happen.
  23. I am 99% sure that someones feeding your crapsticks. But it is so off the wall it might work. I went up walleye fishing with a buddy of mine that is a BIG walleye fisherman. I personally hate fishing for them. BOREDOM! But anyway. he asked me bewildered what the hell i was doing?? I tied on 2 gitzits one about 18" above the other and just caught the **** out of em. Wasn't long before he was digging in my Walmart sack tacklebox for his own rig.
