  1. I corkscrewed a paint roller and adapted it to pin on my 12' Avery push pole. The hardest part is bending the paint roller. You wouldn't think they were as strong as they are.
  2. Your fishing right now but that situation says black buzzbait to me.
  3. There is a lake (can't recall name) on the extreme se corner of the state that has them look it up in a gazette atlas. Where you from in wy?
  4. I dont get ll tied up in the line débâcle i use zebco omni flex mono exclusively. Its every bit as good as the big names
  5. I know a guy that has been kicked out of two clubs for cheating. Both times numerous non boaters witnessed him streching fish (card tournements. Calling an 16 1/4... a 17. Idiots...
  6. We slay em on a 1/8 jig head and a zoom speed craw or yum craw
  7. I just recieved my new fluid bed and am about to start painting my own jigheads. My question is how do you do multiple colors? I am planning on getting an oven so I would assume you dip firat color cure then do a second color? or do.you dip both thanks?
  8. Yiur wife isnt reading this.... go ahead!
  9. Everything you have said screams JERKBAIT!
  10. Spro mcstick 110 to cover water Chomper twin tail grub Water melon bitsy tube Senko wacky on a jighead...idiot rig
  11. yes we caught smalleys yesterday on a P10 in golden shiner. Altho I think the P10 really shines when you are targeting big largemouth in extremely cold water. I do like the the P10 when tournament fishing one of our local lakes. It tends to catch only 12"+ keepers and you don't burn a lot of time on the 8-10" piranha's. I would say it is a bait for quality fish over quanity mainly due to size.
  12. This concept is nothing new. The Roberts wrap has been around atleast 30 years that I know of. The real advantage is the line never touches the blank. I have not tested it but I would think it limits the line slap on the rod as well.
  13. Mono for me as well... went thru the FC craze. Cost me a lot of money and even more fish. You can call me crazy but I have the best luck with the Zebco omniflex mono from walmart.
  14. If you are heart set on a mold you could buy a do it blank mold and drill some hole with a drill press in the diameter you are wanting. varying depths will get you different weights. I am telling you the drywall nail is the perfect weight tho. Fish that stuck in a wacky senko for post spawn pouting females suspended off the points. MONEY!!
  15. I am usually a rouge guy but I Tuesday night I rode a Spro Mcstick 110 to a win over 26 boats. It was the first time I had ever thrown one. I am a believer that the clearer the water the more detail it has to have. I just with the MB Spro LC all weren't so friggin expensive. I LOVE jerkbaiting smalleys!
  16. I have always enjoyed it as well I would like to see alton Jones and Dean Rojas get in a boat together. thered be a slap fight.
  17. Drywall nails work for me
  18. While they both produce. I reach for a craw crank prior to spawn and a baitfish crank after.
  19. I would not put them in the water as they have creosote in them. Better off cutting some trees/logs down and seeting them.
  20. I have blue all around my deck wired with a remote. Turn them down as low as they will go its perfect. Turn them on high and make them blink you can partttayyy!!
  21. I love to parrell rip rap for smalleys with a jerk bait. I use 10 lb mono on a medium spinning rod. I have to check and retie my knot quite a bit. I have also lost quite a few fish and expensive jerks. I have switched all my jerks over to #5 oval but it still usually breaks where the line wraps around the split ring. I may try to upsize to a #6 but I think I also need a new knot with double line thru the eye. Not sure what that not is called.
  22. I read a lot of the posts of first time tournament anglers wanting to know what to expect out of your first experience. The do's and don'ts and the like. I only bring this up because I had a experience today with a Co that has been in the club for many years, but, Still he does not know how to back a trailer, One of the first lessons one should learn before becoming a tournament fisherman, is how to back a trailer. This can be very easily done in your off time with any trailer. It doesn't have to even be a boat or at the lake. I can not express how much this ability is appreciated by your boater. Typically it is customary as a non boater to pay the boater to help with gas. For instance in any of the club I fish...it's $15. If I get a non boater that has the ability to drop me in and pull me out. I don't accept the $15. It is well worth the headaches and scratches on the boat having to do it yourself. If you want to make a good name for yourself within the new club...It could be as simple as learning to back a trailer. Hope this helps someone.
  23. Thanks for all the input. I ask this because in todays world it is all about good marketing hype and over seas crap. We often get tangled up in whats the best and not whats a priority. I will be purchasing new rods starting this summer thanks!
  24. I got some long shank VMC #2 heads that I make for bitsy tubes in 1/4. If interested I'd make some up for ya PM me.
  25. One that you will never forget
