Absolutely yes you should try if that's what you want to do! As far as jitters go just go have fun and fish! Fish your strengths and don't worry about what the guy on the front is doing.

I won't even pay half price for senko. With a little looking around the internet you can find them for prices much lower.

I can't tell you the last time I hooked a finesse or stick worm traditional. I am going this weekend to try a small Colorado blade screwed into each end of a wacky senko. looks stupid but might just look stupid enough to work.

I make from 1/8 to 1 oz from scratch the only tool I would not live without is the nakedbaits skirt tool that thing is AWESOME!!

The same way I do with fancy fishfinders. You gotta learn to read the water rather you have them or not. Things like water color, falling, rising, or stable? Bright and sunny little chop or dark day and slick calm? Am I seeing minnow dimples? Is there life there? bugs minnows bluegill? Rocks or mud bottom? Something different? You can eliminate a whole lot of water just but taking a quick look around.

I am a a couple clubs. One club is a weigh in the boat card club. using issued at the ramp rapala scales. The other is a measured card. Both have their faults. The first is often plauged with scale problems dead batteries, dropped over board etc. The second it is easy to stretch fish and is total honor when fishing without a non boater. We have istances where this has happened. We are currently working on a cell phone photo idea but even that is not flawless. Because as stated above you cant hold the fish on the rule and snap a pic. Then have it show up in the pictures. Doesn't work too well plus its hard on the fish We do not ask to see all the pictures for the winners to verify. I think its more psychological and keep the not so honest maybe a little more honest, knowing that they may get questioned at the wieghin to see the pictures of the 5 fish they have on the card. if they don't have the pic the fish doesn't count.

Don't discount the small "crappie size" shad or minnow baits in the heat of the summer. Its a finesse tactic for me so I typically run small baits. Wih the exception of senkos. Which I also do a lot of.

Most importantly on SI is chart speed. I couldn't see jack on mine until I slowed it way down.

I am a sucker for Norman cranks, DD22's especially. Ill buy every lot that I can get my hands on. I don't know why but when I choose a big crank its a norman over anything. I am a huge believer in matching the hatch the deep middle N is just the right size at just the right time. When the fish are hanging in 8-10 of water and the forage is about 2" long. They produce well on the smalleys late summer into the fall.

I wouldn't worry about it. If a guy sees you catching fish you can plan on it getting beat up the next day or the next tournament. Same thing happened to me about a month ago. I loose hooked a 5 lber under a dock and she came off while prefishing. I went back 3 times the first day the first time a keeper, second time a good keeper third time... I got her to bite. The normal dock chitter chatter was oh we knew you must be on them in there for you to go back there 3 times. Plus it didn't help... Just so happened another "buddy" was idling out 40 feet away when I boated her. The next day he drew a low number and flew right back there and started fishing. Trust... gone! You learn to keep a mental log of guys that you can talk too then there guys that won't hesitate to dickya.

I dont have the 360 but have a couple of birds. An 1197 up front and an 898 at the helm. O would agree get the biggest you can afford. Dont be affraid of a unit with a couple hundred hours on it. Most of that is the owner trying to just figure it out on demo.

Give me a guy that can back a boat trailer over $15 bucks ANYDAY! The only guys I take money from is the guys that dont back my rig.

Patience is KEY! Believe me. My fiancé fishes a few tournaments every year with me. I gotta be very careful with my critique.

I am nearby might look into the clubs around. Denver Bassmasters has a buncha good guys as well as Centennial bass up in fort collins. A small but fun club is mile hi bass pioneers in Longmont. That's the best way to meet guys. Most guys serious about bass fishing are rarely hanging around the ramp.

Sorry for the delayed response. I bought my black thru best buy. My white thru ebay. Both work equally well for what i use them for. I would recommend the white for the first then upgrade or get another. I have found I dont use my remote much I just let it run and reset the camera after every fish by hand
