Medium To Deep Diving Crank Rod
ive been looking for the same type of rod, and i think i finally found it, the dobyns 705cb or the powell 725cb or 755cb. i was also looking at a few shimano cranking sticks but really like what the dobyns and powell have to offer

Best Rod For Braid
there is no best action for braid, it works well on almost 100% of rods

Drop Shot Rod
YES dobyns 702 is the best dropshot rod ive ever fished. light tip that really lets you shake/work the bait, but then it does have some good backbone for getting those big fish to the boat, and its pretty dang sensitive.

Topwater Color & Weather Conditions
when throwing a topwater, say a spook or gunfish, whats the importance of color choice with different weather conditions? ive read several articles but its still a bit confusing.

Which Spinning Reel Size For Finesse Bass Fishing?
i have the same rod, with a 20 size pfleuger president, which is 8.3OZ it balances perfect, i look at the HS reels, same weight as mine, eather one will balance perfect for you, 200 or 300, i say 200 just because you wont really need the line capacity of the 300

What Would You Get Next To Add To These 4 Combos?
He basically has a MH in his M vendetta, those fish a power up. I would ad a little longer rod say a 7'6 mh. You can pitch with it, fish plastics in deep water, Carolina rigs. Pretty Versatel stick IMO

Which Spinning Reel Size For Finesse Bass Fishing?
Don't just base it on spool capacity, take a look at the weight of each model. Sometimes you need a Little heavier reel to make your rod balance better, which will save your arm after a days of fishing. With thT said, I normally use a size 10 for DropShot and size 20 for everything else. Most size 10 & 20's balance perfect with my Dobyns champion spinning rods I think the 200 would be perfect. What rod are you putting it on?

Dilemma On A Weekend Sale! What To Do!
since you already ordered the ***, dont get another rod till you fish with the *** for a while. they truly are a good rod IMHO, i have 3 of em. fish that *** with a variety of technique's and if you like it, stay with it. save you money right now, dont purchase those skeet reese rods. save money for a better rod down the road. just stick with the *** and lews reel you have on order. your over thinking the situation, haha i do it all the time. fish the *** and i gurantee youll be impressed. dont let the bait monkey get you!

Dilemma On A Weekend Sale! What To Do!
If i were you, i would get a dobyns champ 735. put on 65lb or 50lb braid, use it as a frog rod and it will be an excellent jig/ heavy cover rod, i have the champ extreme 745 ( same as 735 but 1inch longer) and its got to be the most versital rod i own. frogging, flippin, dragging a carolina rig, light punching. its a beast rod. but for real though, if you can grab a dobyns champ 735 for 25% off, hop on it.

Over Analyzing Baitcaster Setup?
are your brakes off? i dont have a pro qualifer so i dont know what type of brakes it has, but the outside one turned to 0, and the internal tabs pushed in? as for piching, its all about getting a fast rod movement, the faster you can move the rod, the further the bait will go, and you want your spool tension knob set so you bait almost free falls, but when pitching, you need to use your thumb to control the spool so it dosnt free spool and get a backlash. its a complicated process and takes time to learn, but i suggest you go in you backyard, setup a target to pitch to, ( 5 gallon bucket) . first set it about 10 yards away, after you can successfully get your bain the bucket 8-10 times in a row, move it another 5yrds away, do again, then another 5yds away, till you feel confident in you pitching. thats what i did and it really helped me alot. hope that helps some!

Dobyns Champion 733 Arrived Today
wait till you get the DX745, i have it and man what a rod it is, cork is even nice than my champion series, and the looks the rods has is amazing, from the paint to the kevlar wrap, its a beauty, and man the way it fishes is amazing. i was using it yesterday for a carolina rig in about 32ft of water, i could feel the bite from a 1.5lb smallmouth like it was a 5lb on a ultralite rod, so crisp. let me know how you like that 733 after you fish it several times, that was the next rod i am looking to purchase..

Glass Vs. Graphite
get a graphite, just make sure it has a moderate, or moderate-fast tip, and you will be good. and for power, go for M or MH depending on soze of cranks youll be throwing, but more than likley i always go with a MH as it can still throw smaller baits well, but still have the power to control bigger fish! good luck. there's a lot of good brands out there, most shimano rods have lifetime warranty and are pretty good rods for there price, powell endurance and max are some excellent cranking sticks, especally the powell max 704CB. there is also labor day sales going on right now on several websites, TW is 15% off, and several others are also 15-20% off also, just look around!

Bent Guide On Rod?
ya its ok, somehow (i still dont know how it happened) 3 guides on my casting rod got bent flat against the rod blank, i slowly bent them back up to there original position, they have been this way now for several months and work fine, no casting distance lost, dont look like there gonna fall off, the metal they use to make the guide frames are generally made to take some abuse including bending & flexing. if you find it to be a big problem, you can email the rod mamafacture ansking for a new quide, take the rod and guide down to a local tackle shop and they should be able to take bent one off and put new one on for you.

Planning Setups - Need Input
I have M action 7'1 *** that i tried for cranking, i didnt like it too much for that, it is the perfect power for for mid depth cranks, but the tip is just to fast, also i couldnt feel the vibration of the crank to well, and i had multiple fish come off, ( that shouldnt happen with a cranking rod with the right action) I still love that *** though( keep in mind i have 4 OMENS all together), i now use it with 12lb fluoro for senkos, finesse jigs, open water spinnerbait, and it DOES make a good lipless crank rod. I ended up picking up a Shimano Compre Crankbait casting rod at a local tackle shop, so far ive used it on 4 trips out, hooked and landed a total of 22 fish with, not one has come unhooked, I would recommend you take a look at this series of cranking rods, it sensitive, and has a good mod fast tip for crankbaits, plus a lifetime warranty. they also make the clarus crankbait rod, which is about $20 cheeper, but still has a lifetime warranty. hope that helps, if you have any questions on the omens, let me know! also, i recommend you bump you *** up to the 7'3MH over the 7'1, i find i like my 7'3MH alot better than my 7'1MH. although its only 2 more inches, it make a difference, believe it or not, it actually feels a tad bit more sensitive also.. Centrifugal, Magnetic, Or Dual
i like using a reel that has dual for a rod that ill be throwing all different size baits with. it allows you to really fine tune it for the certain bait youre using
