Fishin Newbie Seeking Advice
if you haven't really fished that much before, i would suggest a spinning rod for your first season. if each of you got 2 rods to cover the basics, i would recommend 1. 7' spinning rod, Medium action paired with 15lb braid or 8lb fluorocarbon. a 2500 size reel, 2. a 7' spinning rod Medium-Heavy action paired with 20lb braid or 12lb fluorocarbon line, 2500 size reel some good rods around $100 are- *** *** black, abu garcia veritas, st.croix mojo bass, shimano compre. you will be happy with any of those series of rods. some good reels are- abu garcia orra sx, pflueger president, shimano sahara or symetre. line- i would go with seaguar, sunline, yo-zuri, power-pro or suffix

Best Way To?
Ok, yea that's what i figured was going on... try this. Its kinda hard to explain but ill try my best. Take your spool off if you know how( gives you more room to work with) stick your line through the line guide and through the hole that you took you spool out through on the reel, then wrap the line 3-4 times around the spool, then tie a simple overhand knot, the first thing you do when you tie your shoelaces. Once its tight, you should be able to pull hard as you can and the knot wont budge, then trim tag end, place spool back in reel, place side cover on and fill her up. I've been doing this for years without any problems of knots coming loose or anything like that. And i like it cause the knot is small and doesn't inner fear with the line that's being spooled on... hope that helps. any questions about it ask me.

Common Weight Size For T-Rigs
What size weight is everyone using when flipping docks and weedlines with a texas rig? I know a lot of people say go as light as you can go, but does that really matter?

Best Way To?
