  1. looks like a good rod, would deff like to feel one before i purchased it though, thats a pretty good price for 36 ton graphite. anyone know what ton the endurance series are? i dont think there even listed, just the "maxumfiber logo"
  2. thats reel you have is a pretty good spinning rel. dont let the price of it fool you. so i wold stick with it, and like the others said, spend the money on a good rod. *** *** is the craze right now
  3. holy crap, haven't heard about that ABU 9.0:1 thats crazyyy!!! i wanna seen *** cranking sticks see if dobyns introduces there zeta series rods and powells new series of rods also
  4. yeah, i think im gonna be happy. only problem is ill probably want another one lol and im in Enumclaw. i fish sawyer and tapps alot
  5. think ive decided on the Dobyns DX745, sound like a good choice, any of you guys that fish it?
  6. how much heavier is the 745 vs the 744? i cant decide on which one to get for pitching jigs.
  7. lews TP. dont question it, just buy it.
  8. its up to you, i personally like to take apart all my reels new out of the box and clean and regrease/oil them. why? that why i know its done to my specs and a high quality oil and grease are used.
  9. Can anyone say where the dobyns sensitivity is compared to a GLX or NRX? i guessing on par or maybe better than then the GLX?
  10. thanks for the input guys, im gonna go down to the local tackle shop and compare the dobyns and cumara, see how they feel in hands. i love the 13 *** rod, only cause i have one, but i want ot try some other higher end rods like the dobyns and cumara because ive heard there excellent rods
  11. Have you fished the dobyns champ extremes? my good friend is trying to get me to get a 744, can you comare that to the 7'2 MH-XF cumara, cause i can get a 744 for about 275 which is in my price range,
  12. how is this rod balance wise? ive read some reviews saying its tip heavy, is it?
  13. lews speed spool. there $99, you can find brand new ones on ebay for a lot cheeper though, but almost everyone on here has positive words for them, they cast far, are butter smooth, easy to cast, just a good all around reel for a decent price. not much can beat it in its price range IMO
  14. get the lew's, i have a regular speed spool (the $99 one) and i can cast it farther than my $250 pinnacle otpimus. and its smooth as butter, i HIGHLY recommend it
  15. Hey Guys in the market for a new pitching rod, ive owned a 7'6 in the past, but i wanna stick around 7'2-7'3 main use for 3/8- 3/4 oz jigs around wood, docks, laydowns, that type of stuff, not too heavy of cover... looking at the 13 *** black 7'3 Heavy or the Shimano Cumara 7'2 MH-XF which rod would you pick for flipping docks, reeds, laydowns, and every once in a while, light pads & mats. or any other rod thats strong yet sensitive around 7'3 length and around $250, shoot me ideas thanks
  16. get a lews Touranment pro. you can find brand new ones on Ebay for like $155-165. you wont regret it.
  17. you can get a lot nice rod for the money, my 13 omens weight less, balance WAY better, and are a tad more senstiive then the gl2 rods i had then sold.
  18. based off those specs, you have a real good finesse setup. i like a short rod for its casting accuracy, and most ALL finesse tactics are within the weight range of your rod. havnt heard anything on the reel, but go use and get back to us on how you like it!
  19. how do you like the reel now that youve used it for a bit?? i just scored one off ebay for $93 !! cant wait to use it
  20. forgot to say this when i first replied, but a powell diesel 7'2 MH makes an excellent rattle trap rod. the tip vibrates so much you can feel when even a little speck of grass is on you bait, its a dang good rod for the price
  21. braid dosnt lay as smooth as regular mono or fluoro on a spool, it takes up more room... so thts why it seems like you should be fine with 120 yds but your not. take however much off until it quits rubbing and you'll be golden! and enjoy that TP, there one hellva reel when you get them dialed.
  22. im using a *** *** rod, 7'3 M/F. works good and havnt had a bass come unhooked yet. also use it for bigger cranks and 3/8 and 1/2 spinnerbaits. its actually one of my most verstail rods thats not for plastics/jigs.
  23. for a rod around $100 look at he *** omem series. they have been getting some pretty good reviews. i own 3 and would recommend them. for pitching, i would go for the 7'3 MH or 7'6 MH
  24. ive seen the 2 models they posted on facebook and thats it. im real excited about them though, especially the looks of the orange-ish looking one. defiantly gonna pick 2-3 up! links to photos: https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=578429528868482&set=a.193334357378003.48903.172998579411581&type=1&theater https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=574102359301199&set=a.193334357378003.48903.172998579411581&type=1&theater
