  1. If you have $30 to spare do yourself a favor and go to walmart.com type in vendetta and find the rod thats on sale for 29.99 BUY IT then take the reel off your ugly stick casting rod put it on the vendetta. Now you got yourself an nice jig/ texas rig rod. And use your spinning rod for dropshot, shakey head, crankbaits
  2. Once the grass grows a little more, more towards summer try finding pockets in between grass, you'll know when you find one as it'll go straight down and look like a hole. Flip/pitch a t rig craw down there. Do it a few times, if nothing move on to the next hole you find. See how that works for you
  3. If i were you i would go on walmart.com and get the vendetta rod thats on sale for $29.99. Thats a lot better rod than the pro max or silver max. Then find a good reel to go with it. Pro max is a nice reel for its price and would make a nice combo if you dont have tons of money
  4. Northstarbaits.com
  5. just placed an order, any idea on how long it will take to recieve?
  6. that or you cold probably sell it for more than you paid for it
  7. The digital oasis.com for all your electronic needs. ALOT cheeper than anywhere else ive looked. Fast shipping and good customer service also
  8. Sorry to hear that! That blows. Now you know what rod you like, order from a online store

  10. Look on the the digitaloasis.com i got my 998 for ALOT cheeper than anywhere else. and down imaging is really worth it man. I highly suggest to keep saving your money to get it.
  11. ya 7'3 to 7'6 MH rod will be perfect for you. a nice rod thats pretty cheep that would be perfect for you would be the 7'6 powell desiel
  12. its the only braid i use, never had a problem with it so why change. i use 15lb on my spinning rods, and 30 or 50 on my casting rods. good braid for a good price.
  13. sounds like a good setup! if you experiencing lots of line abrasion, try switching to a braided line, other than that sweet setup!
  14. ya medium with a fast tip will be perfect for you.
  15. take a look at the *** *** rods, i own a few and love them.. there $10 more than the fenwick but totally worth it, there are TONS of positive reviews on them. there are several members on here that own them now and love them. the 7'1 or 7'3 Mh would make a perfect jig rod for you.
  16. i wouldnt recommend that for jigs, you want a fast or extra fast tip for jigs to be able to get a good solid hookset. that rod would be good for rattle traps, spinnerbaits, crankbaits, topwaters though
  17. this is a killer deal, after tax, my total was $32.25. they must have had them priced wrong or something , cause the vengance models are going for $49.99 i did the free shipping to store also, save a few bucks cause i drive right by a walmart everyday on my way home
  18. which gander are you going to the one in lake mary or the one in ocala? these are the phone numbers for each store Lake Mary:(407) 804-0514 Ocala:(352) 351-6186
  19. No not at all. Its all about your reel. I have a revo sx on my 7'3 and on my 6'6 and I can cast a 3/8oz jig the same difference with both rods. The 7'1 should be perfect for you. I use my 7'1 for spinnerbaits, and jigs t rigs use about everything with it except cranks.. And I use my 7'3 for deeper water stuff like Carolina rigs, and football heads and spoons. The 7'1 is perfect for skipping baits under docks also. I get that 7'1 you'll love it. When you get to gander Mt, and they might have a 7'3 in stock.. There websites probably wrong when it says the longest rod they carry is a 7'1 when the *** series goes all the way to 7'11 maybe they forgot to put an extra 1 at the end.. Call the store and ask them. I that's what I would do.
  20. No theres notuch difference, maybe a little farther casting distance, but not much, and the 7'3 would be better in deep water.. but i think you will be plenty happy with the 7'1
  21. Where do you live? Tackle warehouse is in california, i live in wa state and it takes 3 days for a rod to get to me. Thats the standard shipping, you can upgrade shipping not sure how much more it is. Not that much i believe.
  22. I just picked one up to. For that cheep you cant go wrong! Im hoping its the 7' medium. I need a good spinnerbait/lipless crank rod.
  23. Look on Tackle warehouse. They have all the models(6'7-7'11). plus free shipping and excellent customer service. And its very close but, yes i do like it more than my crucial. The sensitivity between the two is identical, but the balance and weight of the *** is better than crucial, so its a winner for me.
  24. You would be pretty dang impressed with the *** rods. I have ALOT of different rods all in tbat $100 range, veritas, carbinlite, mojo bass, gl2(which should be $100 not $200). And IMHO the *** truly is the best. The balance on the rods are absoutly perfect, no tip heavy what so ever, sensitivity is excellent and above par for $100 range, and the componets of rod itself make it the winner in my book.
