  1. I definitely need to get one of those. There was a guy pointing the fish out to me and most times I couldn't see anything, ha.
  2. Thats a nice pickerel tuck. The ones I normally get are a lot smaller, but I am told there are trophies in that lake that I wouldn't mind catching. I also saw and heard a big disturbance farther out in the flat. Im positive it's a trophy bass, so I gonna have to get me some waders soon.

haven't had much luck the past few days eighther. I feel like the wind is really messing with my fishing.
  4. Thanks guys. Yea it seems the bass have all disappeared and were replaced by pickerel. I was doing pretty well with bass for most of march and was expecting things to really heat up in April. Not the case, fortunately the pickerel have been keeping me company.
  5. Nice. I saw some ospreys pulling up some shad since last week by my local dam while fishing. I may have to get me some shad darts.
  6. I don't really count but it's between 3-4, .
  7. As a saltwater fisherman I am very familiar with the acme needle eel. I guess you could jig it, but 3/4 is pretty light for saltwater and as far as I know it doesn't come in heavier oz. I normally swim it on a steady retrieve and it's supposed to have very little action. I don't know if it's used in freshwater a lot, though. As for the flashking wobbler, I have no clue, but it looks like a swimming spoon.
  8. I spent a good 6 hrs fishing for largemouths but got 3 pickerel and lost 2 others. The biggest is my best 17 3/4 inches. I thought it was a monster but surprised itonly weighed 1lb and 5 ozs. I know its not a trophy but I still think its pretty decent.
  9. appreciate the toothpaste suggestion one less thing to buy now. all I need is the wire cutters. Kinda feel stupid for using pliers, lol
  10. Very nice stuff. How much was the siglett in dollars? it looks pretty cool and do the wings on it seem pretty solid? I was in japan about 6 years. ago and wish I was into bass fishing then.
  11. I just started using one too. I like how it doesn't get hung up really and pretty weedless. I put on a white curly tail grub and like how the tail sticks up when swim on the bottom, though I have yet to get a bite on it.
  12. Inline spinners work well enough for me. As for lipless, I can never catch anything on it.
  13. I like the sound of cicadas. got good memories of chasing after dragonflies with a bug net at a park, and would always hear the cicadas up in the trees.
  14. polisher sounds good to me,thanks for the input. :>
  15. I have a heddon baby torpedo thats see through, a mouse fly, and a spinnerbait. I will post photos if you are interested and let me know what you have.
  16. I got a few mepps that are starting to rust up and not spinning very well. I was thinking about breaking off the hooks and adding new ones with a split ring and maybe clean it up a bit with wd40? I broke the hook points off no problem but having trouble removing the shank itself.
  17. Thanks for the warm welcome everyone. I am in Millville so Im clos to a good number of spots. I checked a couple places out today andthere were a lot of baitfish but the bite been pretty tough for people out there.
  18. I am from NJ and fairly new to largemouth bass fishing and freshwater fishing in general, but fished the salt since I was a child. Not sure how I even started bass fishing, but it's definitely different and new experience. I been looking through this site for a couple weeks now and enjoy reading up some stuff, so here I am.
