  1. Iabass I just handled that rod in the store, Man it is nice. I will have to give Croix a call today that I want the 6'8M exfast Elite. Thanks guys
  2. How well does the 6'10 do with Megabass magnum jerks? Reason I'm choosing the 6'8 because it's rated to 5/8 and that is the heaviest I throw.
  3. 6'8" M-XF it is. Should be killer this year on the yak and for them smallies
  4. yea this rod will be more for open water. How ever Im looking really close at the 6'10 now too. So the more the opinions the better. I've fish alot of jig rods form St.Croix and owned a Big Cranker. I wonder if most of their blanks would be the same up to the Elite as in action and power. From LTB to the Elites. MIght have to take a trip down to Cabela's later and feel for my self but everytime I go there the Elites are all gone.
  5. I was either looking at the 6'8 fast, and the 7 med fast. I didn't even think about the extra fast tips. I just talk to one of the reps. She said the 7 med would do me good buy I want more opinions before I trade the rod in.
  6. I got an opportunity to trade in my older Xtremes for one of the newer Elites. But I want a jerbait rod. Which one of the casting series would fit best for all arounder jerkbait? Mainly 110's
  7. check this out. You could also use the bow stern handles to attach the pulleys. The only down fall is the the rope will come over the deck. But since I have my Native cam locks(Paddle Holder) the rope sits over the edge of the cams lock around the curvature of the boat. Otherwise I was thinking of getting some smaller J mounts and JB welding on the side of the boat for the line so it sits nicely on the side. I've done this with my Slayer 12 and on the other side have the Harken260. All I needed was the pulley also picked up some reflective paracord off ebay to mactch the kayak and a larger nylon ring or aluminum.
  8. Achor trolley and 8ft stake out pole. With out that yesturday during windy condition I was able to stay put mark my way point on my kayak and come back to the point later on. Super winder up to 20-25 wind gust everyone was push down the lake while I fish most of the time instead of fighting the wind. I won the tourney with out that I would of been SOL
  9. My guess is the bearings are probably still dirty.
  10. Xzylum do you have any 580's to compare to Oakley's deep or shallow lens?
  11. Not sure about the bearings but heard Daiwa were suppose to release the mag seal liquid stuff to the US market any time now.
  12. What was super tuned?
  13. Kick dirt rub the bottum with a square bill crank. Try to spark a life in that dead zone you speak of. If that don't work you can't go wrong with a senko
  14. If you dicide to return make sure you do before the 14 days. To make shipping cheaper send it back as first class mail. Should be about 2.54 to send the item back
  15. I can't believe how small that reel is.
  16. Or the Ned rig but thats about 8 bucks
  17. There daily special
  18. Same here, until I start to fish streams then I move down to shorter rods. I really want to try a 5' rod this year for those really close quarter
  19. The zoom will do the trick, as for weight I personally would throw it with 1/4 ounce to 1/2 depending how far you want to throw. Just make sure you find a jig head that is plenty weedless. BTW are you using baitcaster or spinning reel? `
