I have only fished next to Walmart once also with no luck. I have heard good things though...I also know alot of ppl go for catfish there.

Linganore is still frozen over. I was able to get a line in at the smaller lake but no bites. I am now thinking the last weekend in March may be the first Bass 2015 for myself. I hope the rest of you catch one sooner! On a bright note, looks like we will be booking our family vacation to Orlando sometime in late April or early May. Last time we went I had not started fishing again yet. I may skip golf this time around and replace it with fishing instead.

So here is the goal. One thread for certain months that BR members can reference when coming to visit the ORLANDO Vacinity. If you are like me and enjoy researching, a good forum thread will save you bunches of time. Unfortunately it seems there are 100's of threads that represent BR members from out of town asking questions. I will do my best to keep this thread up to date! That said myself and my family are planning a trip...I will be going to Marriott Grande Vista May 10th through the 17th which is on International Drive and as a few lakes on site which were built back in the mid 90's. I know there are decent size Bass in the lakes as I have found a few pics in the web. This winter seems so long!!! I am hoping the bottom side of the dam at Linganore is fishable next weekend. I am also interested to see how much damage was done to the fish population when they lowered the water level in the lake an additional 2 feet just a few weeks ago for the bridge construction. That was a long sentence...

Had a pretty good 3 hours. Caught between 10-15. Nothing big but had alot of action! Caught everything on a cottom candy 4" Fat Albert. Eventually I know one of you will buy a house out here!

I am off work today and going to give it throw at the lake. I am sure its going to be slow but at least the weather is nice. Probably similar to your day basser. A bad day fishing is surely better than a good day at work.

I didn't catch anything on Sunday..need to buy more sensitive rod other than my inexpensive ugly stiks... What is interesting though is a buddy of mine pulled this out of the lake which makes me wonder how big, how many, and where I can catch them! I didn't think Linganore had them

Any1 gotten out lately? Went out yesterday and caught a few smallies on the lake. Nothing big, but I rarely catch smalliez at Linganore. I am going one more time today and that may be it for the season. Hopefully I get something picture worthy!

No scale =( I would guess 5 1/2lbs. Really had a nice belly.

Allen, Needwood is public. I am pretty sure you cannot bring your boat but not positive. I have seen a few people post reports of decent fish from there on the DNR website. Lake Frank is a little less accessible.... Got out to Linganore today and managed this among many other fish. She was another fat 22" =) I have heard of smalliez coming into Lake Linganore this time of year but I didn't manage to catch any. Ran into another who showed me a pic what looked like a 10lb bass he caught at one of the smaller lakes in Linganore community. I was shocked by the size of it.

Looks heavier than 3.1 lbs. Nice Catch!

Got out for a few hours this weekend. I think I only fished twice during August... Caught around 20 LM in 3.5 hours of fishing Lake Linganore. Five of them were over 18" and this one was the largest at around 22". Pics don't do justice as she had some decent girth All fish caught from shore fishing Black/Red Flakes Fat Albert jig.

Fished about 2 hours today. Caught between 10-15 fish all on ragetail craw...this being the largest and only cull. 19.25" Month total is 93.25"

17" is all I could manage on Friday. I hope to get out sometime this week... That only puts me at 90.25" so far.

Lost three really nice fish today thanks to Stren 12lb. Fluoro. Can't wait for my new tackle to get shipped. Linganore has been ok this year. I have landed one around 6 six lbs, (22"), got one earlier this week that was 21.5" and likely around 5lb. Many fish between 16"-18"... This year has been much more of a learning experience with tackle more than anything else. I think last year was just beginners' luck. Hopefully this order coming in results in landing more quality fish. Hope everyone is enjoying there summer! This weeks catch and second biggest of the year.

21.25" today! She unfortunately hit the ground once. The black spot around her eye was interesting. Caught on Fat Albert by a drain pipe after storms came through. Today is my b-day, got about $200 to spend at Bass Pro Shops! Not sure when I will get out next...

I had a "dink" day. The cold front really slowed things down here in MD. But here's a little guy 16"

Bunch of fish caught this morning. Two 18" but one of the pictures didn'the turn out good. Not sure if I will get out again by July 1st.
