Who Wants In : October!!!
I honestly do not know the water temp. I do know the air temp got down to 34 early Monday morning. I used three different colors of 4" TR single tail grubs w/a 1/8 bullet. Cotton Candy being the most successful. Didn't need to try anything since the bite was on.Not sure how much more I will get out. Good luck this weekend!

Who Wants In : October!!!
Great day at the lake today. Nothing huge but the bite was consistent. Seemed like all the fish had a nice belly on them. 18", 17.5", 17", 17", 16.5" Total 86".

Who Wants In : October!!!
I think its fair to call this 17". Brings me up to a meager 82.5". At least I was able to hook a few today...

Who Wants In : October!!!
I tried during a small window today. I used a chatterbait, rattletrap and a white 7" GULP Minnow. Also tried a CHOMPERS Senko. Rage tails work great normally but I decided to go with the heavy duty scents. Didn't matter though, I retrieved slow, fast; fished flooded flats, fished on tight to cover, fished out in the open, fished under a bridge. Not a single bite and the first time this year I was skunked! Funny thing is I was so anxious to fish when I got to the lake I didn't observe the condtions where I parked. When I had to leave, on my way back to the car, I noticed the the "silt line" was right where I parked. If I had fished there and further south I probably would have had a field day. Oh well, live and learn I guess.

I don't know if I will be doing any fishing. We are getting so much rain, the water will be so muddy you literally have to hit a fish on its head with a large lure to get a bite....

Florida Bass Club October (Bragging Rights Thread)
Great catches, all of you. I have a problem with this post however, first fish and last look to be the same fish, especially the shiny spot behind the gills. I would recommend full pics in the future... Tight lines everyone!

Who Wants In : October!!!
Nice! I think we should allow you 15 fish for the month, Maine_Bass1984 vs. Florida!

Who Wants In : October!!!
Haha, you are very optimistic! I managed 103" in August but I fished a ton that month. Only 84" last month but I didn't fish much. I'm hoping for at least 90" this month but we'll see. I may get out for a little bit 2morrow as well.

Who Wants In : October!!!
I work with some older guys that are not exactly savvy with today's technology. I hope this is the case, again, sorry I had to point it out. Anyways, got out for only an hour after work today. First time fishing in two weeks. 4 fish, nothing special but not bad for an hour... 11" 12" 16.5" 16"

Who Wants In : October!!!
Sorry Nev but the last picture you posted is of the same fish you posted a few days ago in the September thread. (See post #128 of the September which as of now is unedited.) Funny thing is the post you made in the September thread was also of the same fish with the ruler flipped around(you used both for your total length; not funny!), haha. You can tell by the dirt on the fish right before the tail and small spot of discolor in the mid-body. So much for the honor system...I apologize for having to do this but it is only fair to others keeping it real.

Maryland's Who's who!
They just came in this week and brush hogged some shore line. There are also a few spots that have a path to shoreline. I fished for 20 minutes at lunch today and pulled out (2) 12" fish after an extremely high pressure cold front. The bass have a nice dark color to them. It seems to be pretty shallow have not seen any part more than 5 feet deep at the most. Like I said, I did have the small school of 20" fish swim by, no BS. Best part is that nobody seems to question you while you are there. Edit: I have only ever used one lure here, a pearl white 4" Zoom Craw...

Maryland's Who's who!
There is a strip of Commercial/Industrial Buildings next to it. I park with all the Eco lab trucks. I guarantee you will catch plenty I just can't tell you how big. The majority I have caught are 12". If I had a canoe, I feel I could pull out many large bass...

Maryland's Who's who!
So normally we keep fishing spots a secret, right. Since I respect all of you, I will let you in on this little 2 acre gem across from my work. I caught the above at lunch today, and yesterday likely around 3.5#'s. But I had a school of 3 fish all over 20" swim right in front of me. Looks to be a nice concentration of Bass here and I have yet to see any carp. Not a lot of shoreline to fish but some areas were just brushhogged. Location: Wedgewood Blvd., Frederick, MD

Who Wants In : September!
LOL, Cull my 14" and add this 18" lunchtime special. Also had a school of 3 20" or larger fish swim right in front of me. Never would have thought fish this big would be in this pond. Totals 18" - 16.5" - 15.5" - 15.5" - 15" = 80.5"
-
Who Wants In : September!
Caught these in the SWM pond across the street from my work. Let's cull both the 13.5" and 12.75" and add a 15.5" and a 14". Total 16.5" + 15.5" + 15.5" + 15" + 14" = 76.5"

Who Wants In : September!
Slow day for me as well. Cull my 11" and add this 16.5". If its easier for you my 5 fish are #1-16.5" #2-15.5" #3-15" #4-13.5" #5-12.75" Total 73.25"

Who Wants In : September!
I will be getting out this afternoon as well. It looks like all the big fish have left my honey hole. I may have to try somewhere else on the lake. If I can't at least cull my 11" fish today, it's going to a rough month.

Maryland's Who's who!
So I started a new job this week on Wedgewood Blvd in Frederick (Very Close to Flying Dog Brewery). There is a large(2 or 3 acres) SWM Pond directly across the street thats been developing for 20 years. I just scouted it out during lunch, not much shoreline access but where there is access there is plenty of casting room. Threw out a few casts and caught one little dink. I saw quite a few 1# plus fish swimming in schools. Looks to be a good lunch time and after work fishing spot! Let me know if anyone has any additional info on this spot. One more thing, I saw a fish at least 24" or longer that was a shade of light green, almost white in the water. I have absolutly no idea what it was.
-
Who Wants In : September!
Managed 5 dinks today. Start my new job tomorrow that has slightly different hours than my last but I will no longer be able to fish after work. I do not foresee hitting the 100" plateau this month. Anyways here are my 5 fish of the day. Fish #1 = 15 1/2" Fish #2 = 15" Fish #3 = 12 3/4" Fish #4 = 11" (LOL) Fish #5 = 13 1/2" Total = 67 3/4" Hopefully I get out this weekend and cull some fish

Awesome! Good luck in all of those activities. I am not going to be able to put the time in this month due to my new employment. A huge thanks again for starting this thread!
