  1. my dad bought one on sale last weekend and really likes it. For $79 I would have to agree that it is a great deal. just my thought.
  2. I use mine without glue also and they never slide off. I love me a spot remover.
  3. I caught quite a few last year with a baby 1 minus in their firetiger color. the square bill was good becuase I fished them is shallow water 2-4 ft. around a bunch of wood. It's nice that they are not too expensive so you are not afraid to throw them in big tangles and messes. The square lip bounces off the wood better.
  4. I use a gaff for most of them small or big. Just kidding, anything over a couple pounds I lip, the small ones I usually just pull up with my rod and grab in the air.
  5. because they know fools like us will end up spending hours switching them out anyway.
  6. "I award you no points and may god have mercy on your soul"
  7. BEETLE SPINS
  8. of your choices, I would go with the st. croix, but you should really try a fenwick, they have some sweet sticks for a good price.
  9. roland is hilarious, I cant stand watching his sponsor plugs every 2 seconds and watching his wife talk is even worse but I cant seem to change it when he comes on absoultely rediculous. It would be funny however to see roland keep the unoffical weights at these tournaments, guys would be coming in with 50 lb limits every tournament.
  10. i bought some at our walmart for $.25 a bag in the clearance isle. about 20 bags worth
  11. yeah I got a bunch of flw finess worms, lizards, and tubes for a quarter a piece in the clearance area. $50 would fill up a whole cart.
  12. nicely done, looks like a good little pick up and I really like those red eyed shad's
  13. yeah raul, but what do you think bagley is thinking, do you think they feel shafted if knowbody knew he used thier product?
  14. geist resevoir and morse resevoir have open tournaments every week geist (tuesday) and morse (thursday) and usually a good turnout comes to these. I fish the geist tourny about every week and hope to get to morse a little more this year. Good luck
  15. I know we have talked a lot about the pro's using other equipment and picking up to use or show thier sponsor's stuff (rods, reels, accessories) to the camera or public, but wouldnt that tick off the companies of the stuff they are really using. for example, if KVD was using a G-loomis dropshot rod an entire tournament, and then acted as though it was his signature series rod and showed his signature series rod to the camera, wouldnt loomis be mad about that? because in reality they are loosing out by him giving false info. just looking for opinions, thanks p.s I'm not saying KVD does this, I just used his name as an example for all fisherman
  16. yeah, I bought some ultra soft from gander for $4.99 in #6,8,and 10, havent got to fish with it yet here in indy, but it was still a great deal.
  17. I was going to order one for my glovebox, but decided to save some money and take a crap in there instead.
  18. I would go with a fenwick hmg and a revo SX or a citica, but thats just me. Good luck, any of these will do great
  19. anybody here use the fenwick hmg rods. I bought one (7ft. Med.) at our boat show this weekend for $99 and I was really impressed with the weight and feel. Just looking for some feedback from those who have used them.
  20. The hooks are terrible on the original chatterbaits, but a guy at the indianapolis Boat show this weekend was selling them with Gami hooks and at 3 for $12. I bought six of them cause I have had great luck here in indiana with them last year during the entire year. I actually caught a nice 7.5 lber on a black and blue. try different techniqes and speeds and fish will eat them, very versitile bait IMO.
  21. yeah, I use floro for topwaters because I usually use buzzbaits or frogs and fish them quickly.
  22. my fishing partner and I actually placed second in a tourny last year fishing behind some guys that were burning spinnerbaits and covering a ton of water. We knew this particular bank was great so we followed them with wacky wormed sinko's and caught 7-8 fish, 4 of which were keepers, so I would definately say fish the spot and be aware of what the other guys might be doing or using.
  23. the baitcast version is made exclusivly for dicks sporting goods and is o.k. at best. I bought one last year for $50 because it was marked down from $139 and took it back the same week. I kept getting an unsmooth retrieve and the reel just didnt feel comfortable to me.
