  1. i bet that chichlid tasted great after that experience :-?. I sure hope that bass survived. It sure looks like a nice one.
  2. Another Indiana boy here to and I mounted my first fish over 8lbs (wish now I would have done a replica) :'( , and I am getting one done that went 11+ from when I went to Florida. So I will continue to get replicas made whenever I break my PB. So when I catch that 12lb'er, that replica will be made.
  3. Coming from Indiana, my PB here is 8.2 (58%) but this year I went to Florida and caught a monster. There was an old guy who was there to watch and he was screaming it was the new state record and how he just knew this fish was larger than 17lbs. Well after weighing the fish it only came out to 11.8 and It looks like the real record is actully 20lbs.
  4. i have a kistler magnesium jig and toad special. It is 7ft. heavy and I really like it alot. I like the split grip handle for pitchin jigs so this is my favorite rod for jigs
  5. I think the best reel for that rod would be a new Steez. ;D
  6. Now just use that 10lb stren line and tie all of the lures you bought in a straight line. Throw it out in the water and whatever lure the fish bites, buy 10 more of that one. J/K That is a great start and good luck. Use one or a couple of those lures that you can gain confidence in and fish them for a while or until you get good with that lure, then you can expand your arsonal. Trust me, it can get expensive, but that is half the fun. ;D Good luck, Deadeye32
  7. Man those look awsome. Keep it up and let us know if you ever start to sell.
  8. I wrote a couple weeks ago about my new depthfinder not working well and how the depth would erratically jump all over the place for 4-45 ft. Well I returned it to BPS and they gave us a new one and instead of jumping all over, It just stays at 4.5ft. and wont adjust to the actuall depth. Is this a transducer problem, I had it installed at a local boat dealer and this is seriously driving me crazy. Anyone else have a clue why?
  9. I have been fishing these for a few years now also and we often catch rockbass with these things accidentely while bass fishing. I can recall several times my partner says he's getting bit and cant hook em but we usually find that the rockbass or blue gills tear em up. I'm not sure where you are fishing, but that could be one of the problems, at least it is for us.
  10. Nicky are you some kinda sicko with a comment like that. lol ;D
  11. Rock bass, warmouth, and bluegills all do this to senko's where I fish. The rock bass especially do this at the river while smallmouth fishing.
  12. yeah, thats probobly what happened :-?
  13. That is the best answer you will get. Kistler rods are the best IMO
  14. The Bass Pro Shops XPS blood series lizards have the feet your talking about at 6in. hope this helps
  15. I agree with Needemp on this that he probobly did use it throughout the season weather it was pre-fishing these tournys or the support that Biosonix gave him that year.
  16. I bought a few a couple months ago and every time I would hook a fish, I got shocked and the fish would die from electrecution. Must have been the batteries. j/k ;D You can tell by the sh*@ eatin grin on his face that he just got your money.
  17. On the spinning combo, I have a 7ft. Med. Fenwick HMG and it has plenty of backbone for bigger fish and is perfect IMO. As far as your Baitcasting Rod, I would spend my 220 on a Kistler Helium LTA.
  18. purple or red shad culprits are good
  19. actually I just thought of this but sometimes in our home lake when they are spawning they are going crazy and flying around everywhere near the bank. There are times when they get so entangled with each other that they look like they are going sideways and upsidedown. So that might be it.
  20. If your gonna be flippin, why do you need a reel with a big line capacity? I would go with a revo s, or a shimano citica. Both are great reels in your price range. Good luck.
  21. were you doing cartwheels? :-? That's strange, I hope someone has a serious answer for this one.

I think its great that he's going fishing with dad, but isnt that a bit disrespectful to the team that picks him, his new teamates, and the NFL, He will be paid so much money to play a great sport, and he acts like its not a main priority. What happens if the fish are bitting during the super bowl or a big game, is his head gonna be there or at the lake. Just my opinion, Hope the colts dont get him, we need defensive backs anyway.
