  1. This thread reminds me of my Castaway "East Texas Grass Rake" which I still have. Broomstick would be an understatement LOL.
  2. I prefer the Grow Design bait they knocked off. I can say that because I have both. It's not a bad bait, especially for the price. The OG glides a little more distance. That's important to me because I like to glide it up under docks.
  3. My just acquired Daiwa Certate spinning reel. Just WOW!
  4. It is amazing that there will be a LOT of hammers with 75 lbs tomorrow with a shot at a Century Belt but won't make the Sunday cut !
  5. That JDM site in Arizona (not sure if I can post the name) got around the major JDM rules of no discounts by discounting their gift cards. Buy a gift card at a discount and buy what you want, no exclusions.
  6. It was time to upgrade my spinning reel (I ususally only have one on deck). I have been looking at the new Daiwa Certate and found it on Digitaka for $200 less than here. I ordered it on Tues afternoon and received it today! Their shipping time is amazing ! Oh, it's a fantastic reel, too LOL.
  7. You are correct. I thow it on my swimbait rod!
  8. Keep it simple. Powder, Bone and Loon will cover most water conditions. That being said my biggest bass last year was on the 200 size in Lucy. You can hear that 200 two coves away...
  9. I am a big believer in showing the bass something different. I started throwing the "needle" worms late last year with great success. I started with the JDM vesions and the 10 inchers got hammered. I will be fishing them a lot more this year.
  10. They sent me the 600 yard spool. I originally ordered it off of the Amazon Warehouse and Returns page.
  11. I just added the link.
  12. Amazon has 600 yard 12 lb InvisX for $20.87 https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000EDZIX2/ref=ppx_od_dt_b_asin_title_s00?ie=UTF8&th=1&psc=1
  13. I throw the Free Rig on both. 15-17 lb test with a Dolive Beaver is money. Or 6 lb test on my BFS setup throwing a ned rig.
  14. I think bank fishing is the perfect situation for braid to leader. The braid will last forever and you can use a great fluro like Tatsu since it will last you forever using 10-20 feet at a time.
  15. Very nice to hear. I have been switching my sleeves to neoprene as the mesh ones died. Future purchases will be made with this company.
  16. My all-time best producer was the Fleck Weed Wader. That bait won a lot of money in the 70's. I need to go on the auction site and see if any are still around. My current favorite is the Bottom Up Chibeeble which has a fixed chatterbait style blade ahead of the tandems.
  17. The JDM market has what you are looking for. Go to The Hookup Tackle website and look at: Raid Japan Adjustaworm Straight Evergreen Bow Worm Dolive Crawler Slim OSP MMZ (my very favorite for this technique) Tip: I cut the 10 inch worms in half if I need to downsize, but the 10 rigged wacky gets smashed.
  18. Mepps Aglia and Bronze Slammer, and the Picasso All Terrain line.
  19. Take a look at Bill Donahue/Badger Lures on Facebook. He painted this TK for me.
  20. When I go out now, I am one extreme to the other. Three swimbait combos and three BFS combos.
  21. This 5 inch beast can be heard in the next cove! https://www.tacklewarehouse.com/DM_Custom_Baits_Super_Newt/descpage-DMSN.html
  22. https://www.tacklewarehouse.com/Gamakatsu_G-Finesse_Worm_Light_Hook_w__Tin_Keeper_4pk/descpage-TIN.html 1/0 if the bait is not too thick. 2/0 if it is.
  23. I really like mine for treble hook baits. I use a Tranx 300 with 65 lb braid to a 22 lb leader using Sunline Shooter Defier Armilo.
  24. I have 3 different colors of the bait. Between the colors I probably have caught 20+ fish since I have been throwing them. I have never caught one on a straight wake retrieve - break it up with pauses. That's when it gets bit.
  25. Does anybody have a source for micro "jitterbug" lips/bibs?
