  1. People laugh at my rigs in the boat. Big swimbaits and BFS. If you want to have a blast, get you the Scooper Frog Baby by Bottom up. They are not cheap but they are elastomer and last forever. For you serious froggers, get the Magnum at 7/8 ounce!
  2. There is a guy on Facebook called Stiff Lizard Baits. He has made me some magnum jitterbugs.
  3. I wish they still made these with the sliding weight. It gave fluke type baits great action. It was called the Dangleberry Rig.
  4. I need to build a rod for small glide baits and big crankbaits. Bait range will be 1-2 ounces. Looking for something with enough tip to work the glide baits but with a moderate enough action for the treble hooks. I have swimbait rods for everything over this size, but nothing for the lower ranges.
  5. 4 inch Chartruese Pepper on a light C-Rig.
  6. Savage Gear has a Ned Salamander that gets chewed.
  7. I am so very sorry to read this. As has been said, research any and all options. We received this news for our daughter when she was 6 years old - Stage 4. We met up with some research Drs. that had an experimental but totally untested option. They warned us that the treatments would probably be worse than the Cancer. After 2 1/2 years of brutal trials, she was declared Cancer free. She is now 44 years old and very healthy. Her treatment regimen became a standard for treating her type of Cancer for others. My thoughts are with you and your family.
  8. BKK Silent Chaser . I am actually starting to use a lot of their hooks.
  9. In the 90's I had 5 DDs. In the 2000's I had 3. Since then I have zero! Of course, I don't fish as much as I did then. My goal is to stop that streak!
  10. For me it was the Cabin Creek Spider Parts. The idea of a small hula grub that you could mix and match the skirts was genius in my eyes. It is still a productive bait for me many years later. Also the fact that they pour one of the tentacles thicker to rig the bait weedless is also a great idea.
  11. I had an unfortunate incident with a family member that broke 2 of my spinning rod builds about 6 inches from the tip. These were built with Torzite guides which I am pretty sure I can salvage. But I could use some tips to remove the AT CF grips and reel seats, if possible.
  12. Omnia has a free Tatula SV with the purchase of a Tatula Elite rod. https://www.omniafishing.com/a/black-friday-doorbuster-buy-a-tatula-elite-rod-and
  13. I have 3 BFS reels. In order of my preference, Diawa Salmandura (Ali Express), Calcutta Conquest BFS (Digitaka) and the Curado BFS.
  14. It is more of a wake bait to me with a wider wobble. It doesn't glide like a traditional glide bait. That being said, it is a great bait when they are feeding on top. Make sure to pause every 4 or so cranks. They will kill it when it starts back up.
  15. Just use a Bluegill colored swimbait. Keitech makes a couple. The gold blades are a great idea, also. I would do both. That being said, I have caught bass in ponds that had zero shad on shad colored baits. If they think it's edible, they will eat it.

  17. Hog Farmer and Shane's Baits are my go to A-rigs.
  18. I just picked up the new swimbait reel from Omnia. With their cash back it made it closer to what I paid for my Tranx 300. First impressions are just WOW. Incredibly smooth, but durability can only be determined with TOW.
  19. Browning Boron rod with an Abu 4600CB
  20. I switched all of mine to Rod Warriors neoprene. They dry pretty quickly. But what I like the most is that Pete custom screen prints the technique at the bottom of each one. No more guessing.
  21. As far as ribbon tails go, I have caught more fish on a Culprit Original 7.5" in Fire & Ice than any other, and it's not close.
  22. My PB teener came on a white jig with a big white grub trailer. February - 27 degrees and sleeting.
  23. Don't be fooled by the "Grass" part. I have caught fish on boat docks and standing timber. The Spunk Shad is my trailer of choice.
  24. Keitech 2.8, Crush Mayor 3 in.
